PREVIEW
Sheffield United and Bradford City will reignite their Yorkshire rivalry this evening as the two clubs meet for the first time in seven years in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy. The sides are currently separated by a division, with Bradford struggling near the bottom of League Two.
The Blades have suffered a tough few years in their long history after playing in the Premier League in the 2006-7 campaign. Having been relegated from the Championship last season, the Blades have hit an inconsistent patch that has seen them win two, draw two and lose two of their previous six league matches. Danny Wilson’s side are without a win in two games and were beaten 2-1 by Stevenage last time out. The drop in form can largely be blamed on a lack of goals that has seen just three arrive for the Blades in six league matches.
Even though the Blades are struggling at the minute, they won’t be too concerned after looking at Bradford’s away league form this year. The Bantams have yet to pick up maximum points on their travels and they have been beaten four times in their last six away outings.
Danny Wilson may be tempted to rest a few players for the contest, but even with some changes the Blades look too strong. My advice would be to back the home win, which is currently trading at around 1.43 on BETDAQ.
