NAPS HAT-TRICK BID: SHAMROCK bids for a delayed hat-trick of winning NAPS at Dundalk tonight.
It’s been a long week – no racing in Ireland until tonight but the NAPS hat-trick is on after winners on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Cork and Naas stage fixtures this weekend but as always on a Friday all eyes are on the all-weather at Dundalk.
The experienced maidens Thomas O’Malley and Rock In Peace should fight out the finish to the seven furlong Elusive Pimpernel Maiden at 6.00.
Narrow preference is for Rock In Peace over Thomas O’Malley who is proving very costly to follow with course and distance defeats at 7/2, 5/4 and 15/8 on his recent CV.
Rock In Peace hasn’t exactly done much better but the angle with him is that he is stepping back to seven furlongs after seemingly struggling to get home in his last two starts over a mile.
