ONE TO OPPOSE AT DUNDALK: SHAMROCK goes for a place lay in the 6.00 at Dundalk on Friday night.
My first view on the closely knitted rated race at Dundalk tonight was that I wanted to be against George Boole.
Not that he has done a lot wrong, indeed he has run some good races here and was second over tonight’s distance last time out.
He is rated the best in the race, but is weighted accordingly and I think he is up against a couple of improvers which the handicapper can’t properly allow for at present.
Boy Charlton has gone off at big prices in all three starts but showed his best form with a 33/1 third last time out and Time Constraints seemed to have a lot in hand when winning a maiden over course and distance last time out. Both could be ahead of their official marks which the weights in this race are based around.
There are only five runners and the market is compact but I’ll be pressing the BETDAQ lay button on George Boole in the place market at around 2.20.
