FA CUP SUNDAY: We preview Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final between ARSENAL v MAN CITY with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
ARSENAL V MANCHESTER CITY
3pm This is simply a massive game for both sides. Guardiola’s first season at City has been a disappointment if we’re honest, and the FA Cup is a chance to win something. While Arsene Wenger would dearly love to win something to get the fans off his back at Arsenal, however as we seen with Manchester United last season, winning the FA Cup might not be enough for Wenger after what’s happened this season.
So, lots to play for! And the odds at the time of writing currently stand at; Arsenal 4.3, Manchester City 1.91 and the draw is 4.0. You might think that Arsenal look a bit big on first look at 4.3, however you have to remember that they’ve won just five times in their last 13 games in all competitions – and that includes the two non league sides they beat to reach here. So, trusting Arsenal is still up for debate, and if you look at their record with the top six this season too – they’ve yet to win a game. Before you rush to back City though, they don’t have a great record against the top six either, so we’re reluctant to back them at odds on.
The sides met recently in the Premier League, when they played out a 2-2 draw at the Emirates at the start of the month. It was such an open game, this one screams goals and over 2.5 goals seems the way to go. It’s trading 1.6 which is just borderline value for us – it’s hard not to expect goals after what we’ve seen for these sides this season and with the match odds market not providing value, overs will do for us.
