PREMIER LEAGUE SUNDAY: We preview Sunday’s two Premier League between HUDDERSFIELD v NEWCASTLE and TOTTENHAM v CHELSEA with recommended BETDAQ bets.
HUDDERSFIELD V NEWCASTLE
1.30pm Only a few months on from the Championship, these two sides now clash in the Premier League to start Super Sunday. Huddersfield had an impressive 3-0 win on the opening weekend against Crystal Palace, however how prepared were Palace going into that? There were signs that they could start the season slow, as we noted in last weekends preview, and maybe the markets have over reacted to that win.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Huddersfield 2.52, Newcastle 3.25 and the draw is 3.3. That’s a pretty open betting heat, but possibly Huddersfield are a little short and Newcastle are a little big. At home last season, Huddersfield conceded the most goals from the top nine in the table – and that’s possibly where the edge will come for Newcastle. They had a tough start last weekend against Spurs, but performed reasonably well, and at the odds were happy to take a chance on the 3.25 for an away win.

TOTTENHAM V CHELSEA
4pm What a way for Spurs to start their home season at Wembley! They’ll really have to improve their reason here, as it was woeful in Europe when they played here. It might help mentally that they know they are here for the season, but it still might not feel like home. They are hot favourites, with the match odds at the time of writing; Tottenham 2.14, Chelsea 3.8 and the draw 3.6.
Chelsea had a horrid start to the season last weekend, losing a man and going 3-0 down, before losing 3-2 with only nine men on the pitch. Conte doesn’t seem happy, for whatever reason, and they had a poor summer in the transfer market. All doesn’t seem to be well in the Chelsea at the moment, however this fixture should tell us more about where they stand and what to expect this season.
Given the players missing for Chelsea, we can’t get away from the Spurs price at 2.14. This just looks a golden opportunity to take advantage of their London rivals when they seem to be at their weakest.
