PREMIER LEAGUE MONDAY: We preview Monday’s Premier League match between MAN CITY v EVERTON with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
8pm Monday Night Football returns for the first time this season as Everton travel to take on Manchester City. Everton have somewhat turned into a ‘bogey’ team for City, with only one win from the last five meetings for City. Nevertheless, the markets have the home side very short, with the odds at the time of writing; Manchester City 1.31, Everton 12.5 and the draw is 6.2.
City only lost once at home in the Premier League last season, and that was against the Champions Chelsea so it’s hard to back Everton at 12.5, however City still look very short at 1.31 here – almost impossible to back, and will appeal as a value lay to many. Everton’s away record last season, and the fact that their new signings may need a few more games to settle in, puts us off this as our best bet though, and we’re happy to look elsewhere for some value.
Everton have yet to concede a goal in their four competitive games this season, one in the Premier League and three in the Europa League – obviously this is a huge step up in class from those games, however it took City a while to break down Brighton on the first day of the season, and in what should be a close game – we like the look of under 2.5 goals at 2.44 which looks a fraction too big.
