EUROPA LEAGUE THURSDAY: We preview Thursday’s Europa League match between HAJDUK SPLIT V EVERTON with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
HAJDUK SPLIT V EVERTON
8pm Everton take a two goal advantage into the second leg tonight against Hajduk Split and they will be hoping that is enough to see them through to the Europa League Group stages. It should be judging by the first leg as they had chances to increase their lead after going 2-0 up, and Ronald Koeman said afterwards that they dropped the tempo in the second half. They won’t be able to do so tonight.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Hadjuk Split 3.6, Everton 2.24 and the draw is 3.55. It should be a tough trip to Croatia for Everton, however you’d have to think that the 2.24 on the away win is very appealing based on what we saw in the first leg. However, as we seen with Celtic in the Champions League Qualifiers on Tuesday night, winning away in these competitions is always tough.
Hadjuk Split could be a value lay at 3.6 if you’re feeling less brave, Everton have been very solid at the back at the start of the season, and although they played City a man down for much of the game Monday night, they did superbly to get a 1-1 draw away from home.
We feel though that the bet that stands out is under 2.5 goals at 1.78 – it’s hard to see Everton not coming here to defend towards the start of the game, especially with a two goal lead. Hajduk Split didn’t threaten the Everton goal too much in the first leg, and it’s definitely in Everton’s interests to keep this game as quiet as possible and they haven’t been banging in goals for fun either at the start of the season. The unders looks the value.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
