BELLA OF THE BALL AT KILLARNEY: SHAMROCK heads to Killarney for his best bet on Friday.
They race at Killarney and Kibeggan on Friday – part of a bumper bundle of meetings across Ireland and the UK.
Dermot Weld’s form has improved significantly over the last few weeks – he has had six winners from 21 runners over the last fortnight.
One of those winners was Bella Estrella who was quite impressive when making a winning debut at Leopardstown over a mile, she stayed on really well to win by three and a quarter lengths and can go in again at Killarney tonight in the 5.40.
Improvement seems likely and she should be up to giving the weight away.
Ground Frost was fifth in the Listed Vincent O’Brien Ruby Stakes here on Wednesday and is a class dropper but has had plenty of chances and it’s a quick turnaround.
A bigger danger may come from Jon Ess who looks better suited by today’s conditions than a handicap – he shot up the weights for winning a Dundalk handicap in May.
