SATURDAY PREMIER LEAGUE: We preview Saturday’s Premier League games with a recommended BETDAQ bet. Saturday’s action starts with West Ham v Spurs at 12.30pm.
WEST HAM V TOTTENHAM
12.30pm West Ham v Tottenham is the early Premier League kick off this Saturday and that means all bets are 0% commission! You won’t get better value than that, so let’s find a winner! Spurs will be pleased to get away from Wembley where they have really struggled, however their away performances have been impressive. The match odds at the time of writing currently stand at West Ham 6.0, Tottenham 1.63 and the draw is 4.4. After a poor start to their season, West Ham got their first win against Huddersfield and then drew with West Brom – we expect Spurs to have too much class for them here though and with the way they are playing away, Spurs look great value at 1.63 with 0% commission.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Tottenham to beat West Ham at 1.63.

BURNLEY V HUDDERSFIELD
3pm Both these sides have performed very well at the start of the season, and sit in 6th and 7th with eight points apiece. Burnley’s start has been even more impressive, as they have already played Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool away from home – netting five points from those three games. While Huddersfield have been very solid, they’ve only managed to find the net once in their last three Premier League games against Leicester, West Ham and Southampton. The way Burnley are playing you’d have to put them around the same level as those three, maybe even slightly above based on form – and we have to say that the 2.22 on the home win is too appealing to turn down.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Burnley to beat Huddersfield at 2.22.

EVERTON V BOURNEMOUTH
3pm Everton had a really tough start to the Premier League looking at their fixtures, however they now find themselves all the way down in 18th and with the way they have conceded goals – there’s no doubt they are under pressure coming into this game. There’s no shame for most teams losing to United, Spurs and Chelsea – however they conceded nine goals and scored none. Couple this with the amount of money they spent in the summer and concerns are growing! Bournemouth had a poor start too, and found themselves in almost a “must win” game against Brighton so early in the season! They managed to beat them, and then again in League Cup during the week – that will ease the pressure on them and we feel that they are worth supporting here. Confidence has to be low in Everton at the moment and they are still tinkering with their starting XI – so the lay at 1.71 definitely appealing in this interesting clash.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Everton at 1.71.

MANCHESTER CITY V CRYSTAL PALACE
3pm With five losses from five games, a change in manager and now three points adrift at the bottom of the table – playing an in-form Manchester City is the last thing Palace need right now. It’s extremely difficult to see how Palace can get a result here, they haven’t scored in their last four Premier League games. The win in the League Cup midweek would have helped, however City have scored 17 goals in their last four games in all competitions. We see this as being only one way traffic, and the Any Other Home Win (Manchester City to score four or more and win) looks great value at 2.66.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Any Other Home Win at 2.66.

SOUTHAMPTON V MANCHESTER UNITED
3pm This is a really interesting game from a Manchester United point of view. They have impressed a lot this season, however this is a game similar to Stoke away – it’s tricky to win, and it will be interesting to see how they deal with it. They came up short against Stoke only drawing 2-2, however they have hammered plenty of teams this season, and at their current 1.76 we feel that price is big enough to back. Southampton have struggled this season, especially in front of goal and it’s hard not to see United outscoring them unless they underperform.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Manchester United to beat Southampton at 1.76.

STOKE V CHELSEA
3pm Stoke is always a tough place to go and win, as Arsenal and United have already seen this season. Chelsea have only managed two clean sheet in their last ten away Premier League games too, so this one could be a lot closer than the odds of 1.64 on Chelsea suggest. With Chelsea conceding goals away from home, over 2.5 goals is also appealing at 1.86 which looks better value than the Chelsea win at 1.64. On balance though, we prefer the Chelsea lay from a value point of view, and it’s hard to get away from that as our best bet.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Chelsea at 1.64.

SWANSEA V WATFORD
3pm Watford were on the wrong end of a 6-0 thumping last weekend at the hands of Manchester City, however they will do that to plenty of teams this season, and if Watford can keep their confidence up they should be able to bounce back here. Swansea battled well to keep Spurs to a 0-0 draw last weekend, however Spurs have been poor at Wembley and the 1-0 loss to Newcastle here before that is worrying. We feel that the markets have overreacted to Watford’s defeat against City, and with Swansea 2.44 – we just see this one being closer than those odds suggest and are happy to lay them from a value point of view.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Swansea at 2.44.

LEICESTER V LIVERPOOL
5.30pm These two played each other just on Tuesday night in the League Cup and Leicester won 2-0. Maybe we shouldn’t read too much into that result as teams don’t care too much about the early stages in the League Cup, however the fact remains that Leicester have a superb record at home since Shakespeare took over and they’ve now beaten Liverpool twice at home. That makes Klopp’s men look very short at around the 1.94 – we feel that they should definitely be odds against. Klopp still hasn’t sorted out the problems at the back, and with Leicester so solid at home, Liverpool look a great lay at the odds.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Liverpool at 1.94.
