THURLES BUMPER NAP: SHAMROCK heads to Thurles in search of a hat-trick of winning naps after a 3/1 winning nap on Tuesday and a 5/4 winning nap on Sunday.
The Granson is back in bumpers after a promising start over hurdles but despite the unorthodox move he can make it a winning switch in the closing race at Thurles on Thursday.
The Denis Hogan trained runner was a 33/1 fourth on his hurdling debut at Gowran Park last month on heavy ground which might not have suited as much as todays quicker ground. He had previously been placed on good and soft ground at Galway and Naas.
There doesn’t look to be much strength in this heat and he should put his experience to good use.
Peace Party ran well on debut to finish a close second at Navan but it looked a weak contest.
The Jessie Harrington trained debutant Holding Pattern is obviously worth keeping an eye on in the market whilst the Willie Mullins trained Crumpledandcreased has proved expensive to follow so far and although second at Listowel last time out was beaten 31 lengths.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: The Granson (5.15 Thurles)
