Celtic’s performance in Italy was their best in the Europa League this year, but unfortunately the 1-1 draw was not enough to see them through to the next stage. Attention now returns to domestic matters as the Hoops look to build on the 1-0 win over Hearts.

Hoops were made to work for it, but Victor Wanyama eventually found a way through a stubborn Hearts backline to secure another precious three points in the mission to overhaul Rangers.

Although it wasn’t easy against Hearts, Neil Lennon will be enjoying the defensive efforts of the side as they picked up their third successive SPL clean sheet. Hoops’ fans were left reeling when the side last met St Johnstone, as the Saints headed off from Celtic Park with an unlikely 1-0 win. Anyone that reckons the Saints can pick up back-to-back victories against the Hoops can get 5/1 on BETDAQ 1BET.

Revenge will certainly be on the minds of the players and Hoops’ impressive run at McDiarmid Park suggests an away win is well within reach. Not only have Celtic found a rich vein of form in the SPL, but they beat the Saints three times across all competitions on their own turf last year.

The Saints are there for the taking on Sunday, as Motherwell and Aberdeen have shown in the recent weeks. However, Celtic aren’t in the greatest scoring form coming into the game and the Saints have tended to be better defensively when at home.

I’m not expecting a goal-fest, but I’ve seen enough defensively that Celtic can keep a clean sheet and therefore I’d recommend backing them on -1 Asian handicap at 4/5 on BETDAQ 1BET.
