LISTOWEL BIG RACE: The Guinness Kerry National Handicap Chase is the feature race at today’s Listowel Festival meeting.
The Guinness Kerry National Handicap Chase looks as competitive as ever but Gordon Elliott plays a strong hand in his attempt for a hat-trick of wins in the race.
Following on from Wrath Of Titans (2016) and Potters Point (2017) he has three runners this year at opposite ends of the handicap.
The top weight in the race is Jury Duty who was an excellent third in the Galway Plate last time out and should be suited by the extra distance here.
However at the other end of the weights, I’m very sweet on the Rachael Blackmore ridden Rogue Angel repeating his success of 2015 when trained by Mouse Morris.
He comes into this on the back of an excellent run at Kilnbeggan when pipped a neck and 22 lengths clear of the third.
