He showed plenty of promise on his debut in April when fifth at Punchestown in what looked a much better class race than this and with normal improvement and the benefit of experience should now land this with ease en route to bigger prizes.
The obvious danger is the Joseph O’Brien trained Silk And Sand who was a debut third at Fairyhouse in a mares bumper. She was tapped for toe in the closing stages that day and may need a longer trip to show her best.
Gateway To Europe has the most experience and gets the quick ground he likes but it would be something of a surprise if he didn’t prove vulnerable to the two improvers mentioned above.
