GOWRAN PARK NAP: SHAMROCK heads to Gowran Park for his nap on Saturday in the beginners chase at 2.55pm.
Not for the faint hearted but 15 runners go to post for the beginners chase at Gowran this afternoon and it looks a decent field.
The race has thrown up some good winners in recent years and the answer to this year’s renewal may lie at the bottom of the racecard with A Plus Tard.
The Henry De Bromhead trained runner won a Listed handicap hurdle in Auteuil when the ground was heavy and the rain in the last 24 hours at Gowran will be appreciated. He looks to have a touch of class and could be a could chasing recruit.
Burgas and Burren Life are closely matched on Naas form and have the benefit of a recent run, but the biggest danger could come from the Joseph O’Brien trained Speak Easy who ran four good races over hurdles.
