His man in the long grass whispers one for Karl Burke, which is expected to be Doncaster bound.

They’re off! Almost. The English Flat season starts Saturday week with the Lincoln Handicap and the AW horses to follow have already found three stars for the AW championships and beyond.
I shall be at Newmarket at the weekend to check out the turf Early Birds for Doncaster to make up a list, which will form the basis of Fortune Cookies for the Flat.
But our first taste of the turf campaign will be at Naas on Sunday when, as ever, Ireland is first out of the starting stalls with their Irish Lincolnshire.
Gavin Cromwell has found a real improver on AW with Ciao, and it will be interesting to read his column and see whether he runs her in the Lincolnshire.
Six years out of seven, the winner has come from 9st 2lb or higher, so don’t rule out Ado McGuinness’s top weight Saltonstall, who was second last year.
Karl Burke has Raydiance entered for Doncaster. Listed winner at Ascot on soft, ran at Group-2 level after. Gelded since and a definite Early Bird because of his ground preference.
Richard Fahey has left three in the Naas race (Crownthorpe, Society Red and Calvados Spirit) and Lion Hearted is interesting for Michael Appleby as bottom weight

CLON COULIS (David Barron) AW Fillies and Mares championship but 25-1 taken by this column for the Lincoln Handicap.
GLOBAL PROSPECTOR (Clive Cox): Scooted home from the worst draw at Wolverhampton after being tipped in this column. An SP of 3-1 will be amazing in hindsight as this one develops.
JAHBATH (William Haggas) Another spot by this column when landing a Daqman banker at Kempton.
NEW KING (John Gosden) Son of Frankel wants a mile.
RAYDIANCE (Karl Burke): Lincoln Handicap. Gelded and working well but must have it soft.
THEMAXWECAN (Mark Johnston): Two out of two on AW. WISSAHICKON (John Gosden) This was our first AW horse to follow who won twice for us in February but earned only 15.66 to 20-point stakes, making a formality of his races.
The Cambridgeshire winner is odds on for the Easter Classic at the AW Championships but I think we can hang on to him after Lingfield and expect some bigger returns on grass.

SUPERNAP TO BLITZ HOME
DAQMAN wore the cross-bar out yesterday with his three selections finishing 222.
Hopefully better luck on Thursday when there are four jumps cards including Cork.
2.30 Ludlow Falco Blitz was sent off 9/4 for his Bangor debut but pulled up. Whatever was wrong that day was put firmly behind him when he finished runner-up to One For Rosie at Warwick.
He was sent off a 14/1 chance that day, a big price for a Henderson trained runner, and assuming he has progressed from second to third start he should prove hard to beat here – although will be nothing like 14/1 today.
The Warwick form was given a massive boost when One For Rosie went on to be pipped a short head in a Grade 3 handicap hurdle at Sandown and he should have too much potential today for the exposed runners Daario Naharis and Jatiluwih whose French form looks modest but has been gelded since his last start.
The race, as the BETDAQ betting suggests, looks a three cornered affair.
3.00 Ludlow Night Of Sin won last time to set up the hat-trick bid today but only scrambled home at Leicester and the grey might be vulnerable off a 3lb higher mark.
Gortroe Joe is also up in the weights but deservedly so after he romped home by seven lengths here last time out and over the same trip might take some catching – despite a 5lb higher mark.
Midnight Chill is Mr Consistent but has found the mark of 120 too high in his last two starts and might just need some respite from the handicapper.
The Bottom Bar (Henderson) is back after a wind-op – he was disappointing though on his last start at Uttoxeter in December.
4.55 Sedgefield Micky Hammond has trained 3 winners from his last 11 runners and has a good chance of improving those stats here with Strike West.
He put in an improved round at Carlisle last time out and is preferred to the shorter priced Top Man Tip who is up 10lb for his course and distance success last time out which came on good ground.
I wouldn’t be fond of supporting him on much more testing ground with the extra weight.
