PREVIEW

The second half of the Bundesliga kicks off with Borussia Monchengladbach trying to pull off a league double over table-topping Bayern Munich. It’s been five weeks since the German clubs were in action and Munich will be keen to start off by extending their lead by another three points.

M’gladbach have been in excellent form though this season after they narrowly avoided the drop last year. This campaign the side are fourth in the table and only four points from top. Before the winter break, Lucien Favre had led the side to four wins in their past six home league games and they are unbeaten in their own back yard since the start of the campaign.

Bayern Munich had a poor season last year by their own high standards, but Jupp Heynckes has turned things around. Before the break Bayern had won their past three games across all competitions, but their away form was letting them down with two defeats in six games.

Both clubs have had a lengthy break, so some rustiness can be expected from the players. With the game at M’gladbach I don’t see Bayern getting all three points. M’gladbach have been superb at home and they have the talent to hold the visitors to a draw.

My advice would be to back the sides to be level at the final whistle at around 4.0 on BETDAQ.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back the draw at around 4.0: 4 points

Thursday’s Return: +2.30 points
