Super Sunday is all about ‘revenge’. It promises to be an absolutely sensational day of Premier League football. Tottenham looking to avenge the 5-1 defeat to Manchester City and Arsenal looking for pay back from the 8-2 humiliation at Old Trafford. I’ll be presenting both games live from The Emirates alongside Graeme Souness and Gary Neville from 1pm on Sky Sports HD1, Skygo and in Sky 3D. It promises to be quite a day – I hope you can join us.

Spurs (4.3 to win on Betdaq) also have a great record against Manchester City (1.91) in the Premier League. Tottenham have won 19 PL games versus Man City and not won more PL games against any other side, despite City missing five of the 20 PL seasons. Tottenham have won five of their last seven PL visits to Man City and have more PL away wins against Man City than against any other club.

Unlike City, Spurs remain in excellent form. They have now taken 46 points from 21 games and are the closest they’ve been to the top of the table at this stage of a season in 27 years, since when they were top on New Year’s Day in 1985 when they were level on points with Everton.

The problem they have is that Manchester City are such a different side to the team Spurs have played over the years and these days are an absolute juggernaut at home. The Etihad has been a fortress in the Premier League. City are the only club in all four English League divisions with a 100% home record this season.

Tottenham are in great form but face a massive task on Sunday. For me, this is the most telling stat: Spurs have only once ever won a Premier League away game against a side at the top of the table. It came in their first ever PL away win in November 1992 – 2-0 at table toppers Blackburn. City are hard to oppose.

After the game at Manchester City, all eyes will be on The Emirates for Arsenal (2.93) against Manchester United (2.6). I’m sure the return of the legends – Arsenal’s record goalscorer Thierry Henry and Man Utd’s 10-time PL title winner Paul Scholes – will hog the headlines but the game itself revolves around Arsenal’s defending.

Gary Neville explained their problems at the back brilliantly on the Monday Night Football. Miguel and Djourou really struggled at full-back against Swansea and you wonder what damage Nani and Valencia could do on Sunday. The Arsenal team news will be crucial at 3pm and I can see a flood of money for United a 2.6 on the Daq if Wenger’s back four is the same.

On Saturday I fancy QPR to pick up a first League win under Mark Hughes and I’m surprised to see them trading at odds against to beat Wigan. 2.09 looks a big price.

I was pleased to see Haydock get the green light this morning. The Peter Marsh looks a good contest, which I think can be won by Pearlysteps. He fell at the last when in with a chance of winning here last time and gets to race off the same mark. He’s always threatened to win a decent race and this track suits Pearlysteps well. He was one of the few horses to run well when Henry Daly’s string struggled so badly last season and remains capable of better.

Over at Ascot Finian’s Rainbow looks like the one to be on in the big race, while I’m a big fan of the mare Kentford Grey Lady (2.05). I will also be taking a chance that Surfing has recovered from his heavy fall in the 3.45 as Nicky Henderson thinks this is the best handicapped horse in his yard.

ED’S BETS
Man City to beat Spurs
QPR to beat Wigan
Pearlysteps (Haydock 3.30)
Finian’s Rainbow (Ascot 3.10)
Surfing (Ascot 3.45)
