CORK NAP: After a 3/1 second from his NAP on Saturday, SHAMROCK heads to Cork on Sunday for his NAP in the 3.20.

Yesterday’s NAP Linger ran well in second (3/1) in the Ladbrokes Ulster Cesarewitch Handicap at Down Royal yesterday but was no match for the well-backed favourite Dinard Rose.

I’m sticking with Linger’s trainer Joseph O’Brien today at Cork. His Royal County Down looks to have a solid chance of notching up a hat-trick in the 3.20pm.

The youngster is fitted with blinkers for the first time and remains progressive after narrow wins at Down Royal and Galway where he narrowly beat today’s rival Mythologic. The hope must be that the blinkers bring about further improvement.

The danger is Silence Please from Jessica Harrington’s yard who was a smart debut winner at Gowran Park and doesn’t look unduly treated on handicap debut.
