PREVIEW

Southampton have a chance to regain top spot from West Ham this evening if they beat Leicester City at St. Mary’s Stadium.

The Saints have not been at their clinical best in recent weeks and they have seen their lead at the top being slowly eaten away by an improving West Ham. In the past six league games, the Saints have won two, drawn two and lost two. However, as it stands Nigel Adkins’ side have still only been beaten once on their own patch and they can boast of the best home record in the division.

Adkins will once again be without star striker Rickie Lambert as the player misses out on his third and final game because of the dismissal against Brighton. Guilherme Do Prado and Adam Lallana are both available and the pair have six goals each this season.

Leicester have also proved inconsistent over the past few weeks and the Foxes have won only once in seven league games heading into this one. The Foxes hammered a weak Nottingham Forest side last week, but they have recently lost to both Hull and Doncaster Rovers.

The Saints know the importance of three points tonight and with home advantage, I don’t see them having any trouble against Leicester. I’d recommend taking the 1.83 on BETDAQ for the home win.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back Southampton at around 1.83: 6 points

Sunday’s Return: -4 points
