DUNDALK TO THE RESCUE: Irish racing resumes behind closed doors at Dundalk today but the good news is racing continues. SHAMROCK’S NAP runs in the 2.00.
Fingers crossed a consecutive period of Irish racing is allowed to continue – starting at Dundalk this afternoon, moving through good jumping over the weekend to the start of the flat at Naas on Monday.
The 2.00 looks a decent race on today’s Dundalk card. The Henry de Bromhead trained runner Aerclub sprung a surprise over course and distance on debut and the form of that race has worked out well since. Runner-up Dune Of Pilat has run both his subsequent races.
With normal improvement Aerclub can see off the challenge from the O’Brien brothers.
Joseph runs Line Judge who shaped well on her debut here when third and Donnacha’s Flower Garland gave him his first winner as a trainer when romping home by six lengths but it was in a really weak race and more is needed.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Aerclub (2.00 Dundalk)
2020 NAPS: 23/50 +59.83 (to a 10 unit daily level stake)
