LA LIGA FRIDAY: Our new European football tipster The Ultra previews Friday’s La Liga matches between REAL SOCIEDAD V GRANADA and REAL MADRID V ALAVES both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

REAL SOCIEDAD V GRANADA
6.30pm We have another enjoyable evening of La Liga football ahead of us on Friday night and I’m hoping to continue my winning streak! Our last ten bets have won, but it would be nice to land 12 in a row tonight! We start with Real Sociedad hosting Granada and these two have struggled since returning from lockdown. They have made improvements in recent weeks results wise and it’ll be interesting to see who comes out on top here. I was happy to lay Sociedad on Monday and it’s very tempting to lay them again here.
Granada have obviously been playing at a poor level so the lay isn’t a bombproof bet but 1.77 looks extremely short on the home side. 1-1 was the right result against Levante and apart from their 2-1 win against Espanyol they haven’t created much. Granada were very unlucky not to beat Valencia last time out, creating an xG of 2.66 against 0.82. Apart from Leganes they have created some decent numbers and I fully expect a closer game than 1.77 says. The streak is at risk obviously laying an odds on shot but the streak means nothing – it has to be about value bets and Real Sociedad are a value lay.

REAL MADRID V ALAVES
9pm Another massive game for Real Madrid in their bid to lift the La Liga title. At the weekend they played ahead of Barcelona and went seven points ahead. Barcelona had the advantage of playing earlier this week and now the gap is down to one – there is no room for slip ups at this stage of the season. The good news for Real fans is Alaves have lost their last five in a row and they’ve only scored once. Their xG numbers haven’t been impressive and although they should have had one or two (at best) draws, they haven’t been playing well.
On paper, Real have been grinding out results. But xG says they are playing superb football and they have been very unlucky not to score more. They recorded another 1-0 win at the weekend, but created an xG of 2.74. Their xG was close to 2 when beating Getafe 1-0 and it was 2.61 when beating Espanyol 1-0. They are ready to blow a team away and tonight could be that night. 1.8 to cover the 1.5 goal handicap makes a lot of appeal – Alaves haven’t been offering much going forward while conceding chances. With Real playing superbly they can win easily tonight.
