LISTED ACTION AT NAAS: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the Listed Garnet Stakes at Naas this afternoon at 3.40pm.
Two Listed race at Naas this afternoon which have attracted large fields.
In the Garnet Stakes at 3.40 the Dermot Weld trained Etneya should be hard to beat and justify her position at the top of the BETDAQ betting exchange.
After making a winning debut at the Curragh in July she has since gone on to run with credit in two Group 3 races.
She was fifth to Royal Dornoch in the Desmond Stakes at Leopardstown and then only just denied a neck by Epona Plays at Gowran Park last time out. The front two finished well clear that day and Etneya should relish this drop in grade and it looks an ideal opportunity for her to resume winning ways.
Soul Search is consistent but unproven over this trip and a bigger danger may come from Archie Watson’s raider Parent’s Prayer who shaped well enough when third in the Group 3 Fairy Bridge Stakes at Gowran last time out.
