LADBROKES BOYNE HURDLE: SHAMROCK previews the Ladbrokes Ireland Boyne Hurdle at Navan this afternoon at 2.47pm.
A great day’s racing at Navan on Sunday highlighted by the Ladbrokes Ireland Boyne Hurdle at 2.47pm.
All eyes will be on Tiger Roll who was pulled up on his seasonal debut and connections will no doubt want to see some of his old spark before the dream can continue for his record equalling attempt on a third Grand National.
The Gordon Elliott trained runner popped up at 25/1 to win this in 2019 so anything is possible but surely it’s a watching brief today?
At the top end of the market Gordon Elliott also runs Fury Road who relishes heavy ground and comes into this on the back of finishing fourth in the Grade 1 Christmas Hurdle at Leopardstown where he was sent off favourite.
He was beaten 10 lengths that day and the drop in grade should help today as should the short break.
Beacon Edge also has to be respected having finished third to Bachasson in the Limestone Lad Hurdle here last month.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
