PURPLE PATCH: Leicester City are third in the Premier League form table after an impressive run of late, which we examine in detail below.
There are many reasons to smile if you’re a Leicester City fan at the moment, not least because the Foxes are still flying high in the Premier League.
Brendan Rodgers’ side continue to punch above their weight and a return to the Champions League next season looks a real possibility.
Much of the reason for their lofty position in the league has been down to their recent form which has also taken them into the FA Cup semi-finals.
We’ve taken a look at their recent run in this week’s Purple Patch.
Since drawing with Wolves at the beginning of February, it has, for the most part, been plain sailing for Rodgers and Co, who, since the stalemate at Molineux, have won six times in 10 matches.
They’ve drawn twice as well with their only defeats coming at home to Arsenal in the league and to Slavia Prague in the Europa League.
The Foxes have scored 18 goals in that 10-game stretch with a number of players getting in on the act, while they have been solid at the back too, keeping three clean sheets.
Champions League qualification is far from assured, but if Leicester continue their Purple Patch, you’d have to think the Foxes’ fans will be seeing Europe’s elite at the King Power next season.
