LISTED ACTION AT LEOPARDSTOWN: SHAMROCK’s NAP on Wednesday runs in the Listed Heritage Stakes – the 3.45 at Leopardstown.
Aidan O’Brien can continue his strong start to the new season by landing the Listed Heritage Stakes at Leopardstown this afternoon with the four-year-old Lope Y Fernandez.
Lope Y Fernandez has only won two of his 12 races – on debut at the Curragh and then a Group 3 also at the Curragh but it’s fair to say he really has been dining at the top table.
This, even though Listed status, represents a big drop in class and it should see a win given we know how far forward the stable are.
He was last seen when finishing a highly creditable third to stable companion Order Of Australia in the Breeders’ Cup Mile at Keeneland.
Main BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE rival is Ancient Spirit who also makes his seasonal reappearance. He narrowly failed to make all in a Group 3 here over course and distance last August and represents a big danger.
