PURPLE PATCH: Jordan Spieth is the man in form heading into The Memorial Tournament this weekend, and we’ve taken a look at his hot streak of late.
It wasnāt that long ago when things looked pretty bleak for Jordan Spieth.
A loss of form and confidence saw him drop to 92ndĀ in the world rankings and the times of him dominating the world of golf were long gone.
However, since a missed cut at the Farmers Insurance Open, the tide has very much changed and slowly, but surely the American is beginning to put it all together.
Since the Waste Management Phoenix Open in February, Spieth has played in 11 tournaments and has finished inside theĀ top 10Ā in eight of them, while six of those have been inside theĀ top five.
Heās made the cut in all 11 events ā consistency that had deserted him ā while heās no less than 96 under par in those.
He went nearly four years without a win, but got back on the winning trail in the Valero Texas Open in June ā a win that really confirmed Spieth was beginning to get back to his best.
During the impressive run of form Jordan is the small matter of 96 under par, while heās amassed north of Ā£3million in prize money.
Thereās no doubt that the 27-year-old still needs to improve to get back to where he was a few years ago, but the signs over the past couple of months suggest heās very much on the right path.
