DAQMAN NAP COMPLETES 4-1 WEEKEND WIN: Daqman landed his Sunday best bet in the Winter Million hurdle at Lingfield to make it six wins over the weekend and take him further ahead of Pricewise (25-13). He’s beaten him 4-1 in the three days of big races.

TODAY: Daqman previews the Thyestes meeting in Ireland this week and looks forward to Trials Day at Cheltenham.
NOW ALLAHO LANDS REMATCH
One Cheltenham rematch has happened! The day after Shishkin and Energumene are expected to replay their Clarence House epic at the festival, last year’s Ryanair one-two are due to meet again.
But the Ryanair pair, Allaho and Fakir d’Oudairies, also anticipated their March meeting this weekend when they faced each other again at Thurles yesterday.
In last year’s Ryanair, Allaho won 12 lengths. At Thurles yesterday, Allaho won.. 12 lengths! The form worked out spot on.
BETDAQ Sportsbook now has Allaho 2.0 to retain his Ryanair crown in a second rematch with Fakir d’Oudairies 15.0. Correction: in fact, it would be their THIRD meeting, Aloha having won the John Durkan in December, with ‘Fakir’ only fourth.
Now look out for more big-race clues, starting on Thursday at Gowran Park, followed on Saturday by Cheltenham Trials Day.
⭕ 2.05 Gowran Park, Thursday Galmoy Hurdle (3m Grade 2) won in 2020 by the mare Benie Des Dieux, before she was beaten only half a length by Honeysuckle in the Mares Hurdle at Cheltenham.
Before that, Presenting Percy landed a Galmoy double (2018-19); the first win was a prelude to his RSA victory at the festival.
Winning trainers (10 years): Willie Mullins 3, Mouse Morris and Tony Martin 2 each. Jockeys: Davy Russell 3, Bryan Cooper and Paul Townend 2 each.
⭕ 3.05 Gowran Park Thyestes Chase (3m 1f Grade A) Djakadam ran second in the Gold Cup after winning the Thyestes in 2015; On His Own (2012), who doubled up in the Bobbyjo at Fairyhouse a month later, was also runner-up in the Gold Cup.
At the start of the century it was the launch pad to Grand National glory , with Hedgehunter (2004) and Numbersivalverde (2005) winning in consecutive years.
Winning trainers: Willie Mullins 5, Gordon Elliott 2. Jockeys: Jack Kennedy 2
CHELTENHAM TRIALS DAY

2.30 Cheltenham Cotswold Chase (3m 1.5f, Grade 2, £120,000)

DON’T MISS SWISS
⭕ 1.00 Southwell It’s a day exclusively of all-weather racing but without the ‘Million’ prize fund carrot witnessed at Lingfield over the weekend.
Back to more modest action but there looks to be a good bet in the opener at Southwell with Swiss Connection. The Bryan Smart trained runner arrives on the back of some solid efforts at Newcastle – including last time out when narrowly beaten by Blazing Hot. The handicapper has raised him a pound for that defeat but he still stands out against rivals who are mainly struggling for form.
The Richard Hughes trained Kath’s Toyboy is dropping back dramatically in trip in his last three races 7>6>5 furlongs and has been given a chance by the handicapper with another 3lb drop. He’s probably the danger, despite a 0-9 record on the all-weather.
ANNAF AGAINST THE FAV
⭕ 3.15 Kempton A class 2 stands out as the best race of the day on Monday. There’s a ticket to the AW Championships on offer to the winner and the BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE says that’s most likely to be Kaboo who was odds-on in morning trading.
For all he’s impressed in his first two AW races, winning at Wolverhampton and Newcastle, they have both come over five furlongs and whilst he should be equally as effective over the six – you are paying a short price to find out.
This will also be tougher and I’m hoping that Annaf might give the favourite a good run for his money at much bigger prices – indeed double figure odds at the time of writing. The Mick Appleby trained runner made a winning debut (over today’s six furlongs) at Newcastle, despite being weak in the market. It might not have been the strongest of contests and he has to improve but on his second career start that’s more than probable.
A point wins us 10 at 11am prices and we’ll also go for a WIN 10 on the place – although we’re only shooting for two podium spots with the pesky seven runners!
THE ESSENCIAL BET
⭕ 6.00 Wolverhampton A small field for this class 4 handicap which looks set to be a match between Essencial and My Dubawi who were both winners last time out.
Preference is for Essencial who might enjoy a race fitness edge over his market rival and there might well be more to come despite the 3lb rise.
DAQMAN’S BETS (all bets staked to win 10 points)
BET 7.1pts win (nap) SWISS CONNECTION (1.00 Southwell)
BET 1.0pts win and 2.5pts place ANNAF (3.15 Kempton)
BET 5.0pts win ESSENCIAL (6.00 Wolverhampton)
What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
