8pm We are treated to midweek Premier League action on BETDAQ Betting Exchange this week, and we kick it off with an absolute cracker as Liverpool host Manchester United! It’s been very entertaining to watch Liverpool over the last ten days or so, and hopefully that continues here with another goal fest. Manchester United were involved in a goal fest of their own at the weekend with a 3-2 win too, so hopefully we see plenty of action in front of goal here.
It’s remarkable the change in fortunes of both these clubs over the last number of years. When Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge at United, Liverpool were out of the Top Four and they would be trying to damage United’s title bid. Now, Jurgen Klopp is the longest serving manager in the Premier League after the sacking of Sean Dyche and it is Man United trying to dent Liverpool’s title challenge. However that being said, I doubt any of these United players actually care about the history of the club. There’s no leaders in this United side.
Although Liverpool have had a dramatic ten days in which they scored eight goals and conceded seven, that goal difference was an important one as it got them into the FA Cup Final with a 3-2 win over Manchester City at the weekend. I wouldn’t be too bothered about the Benfica 3-3 draw in the Champions League either – Liverpool had the tie one and it was just about playing out the time – it was entertaining though! Liverpool have been incredible this season, and they should have no trouble dealing with this United side.
A lot has happened since Liverpool hammered United 4-0 at Old Trafford. People thought United were in a bad position then; well things have got worse. This United side lacks fight and passion, and they are also conceding a lot of sloppy goals this season. Apart from two Ronaldo hat-tricks they aren’t scoring many goals, and it seems to me that they need some Ronaldo magic to win games these days. This will be a very difficult evening for them, and you can see Liverpool having a lot of success against this United side. Harry Maguire just isn’t in control at the back, and with the amount of chances Liverpool create they could do damage here.
It’s a sign of the times that Liverpool are as short as 1.44 to beat United, but you can fully understand the odds. I can’t see past a Liverpool win here – apart from Ronaldo doing wonders I just don’t see how United can cope with this Liverpool side at this level. Even then, Ronaldo can’t win the game on his own and Liverpool will out score United. Obviously the 1.44 is very tempting, I would recommend it for any BETDAQ Multiple this week, but I feel they can cover the handicap here too. The 2.13 on Liverpool -1.5 goals looks banker material and I’m happy to have a Max Bet at the odds. Everything lines up for an easy Liverpool win here – their xG figures are incredible going forward and this United side just isn’t set up at the back to cope with a side like Liverpool. I wouldn’t be surprised to see another 4-0 to be honest.
