We’re in a superb position ahead of the Men’s Final in Paris this afternoon and it will be enjoyable just to sit back and watch it – safe in the knowledge a profit is already assured.

More of that in a moment but tidying up the Women’s tournament which concluded yesterday with Iga Światek continuing her excellent winning run and lifting a second Grand Slam title at Roland-Garros.

In doing so, the Polish sensation has extended her winning run to 35 matches in a row and incredibly six titles in a row.

It was also good news for the column. Pre-tournament my only bet was 12 points win Iga Światek (at around 4/7 on the Sportsbook) and during the tournament I topped up yesterday with 6 points win SWIATEAK TO WIN 2-0 (at around 1.47).

So that made a total profit on the Women’s tournament of 9.67 points !

In the Men’s, I’m also in a great position.

The pre-tournament BETDAQ bets were:

During the tournament there was a 4 point loss on the NADAL V DJOKOVIC match and a profit of 4.6 points on the RUUD V CILIC semi-final.

So the scenarios are now:

If Nadal wins a total profit on the tournament of 9.5 points
If Ruud wins a total profit of the tournament of 61.6 points

In truth, I fully expect Nadal to win today and claim his 22nd Grand Slam title to pull two clear of both Federer and Djokovic and at this stage of their respective careers a Slam win almost is worth double points !

The trade today is just a small lay of Ruud which will reduce the profit if he wins but add to the profit if Nadal wins. Having come this far I want to get something from the Ruud bet.

So I am recommending LAYING Ruud at around 5.6 on BETDAQ for 7 points (the total points staked ante-post).

This will adjust the tournament returns to:

If Nadal wins a total profit on the tournament of 16.5 points
If Ruud wins a total profit of the tournament of 29.4 points
