NATIONS LEAGUE: The Ultra previews Monday’s Nations League clash between ENGLAND v GERMANY with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

ENGLAND V GERMANY

7.45pm We have another massive International clash on BETDAQ Betting Exchange in the Nations League on Monday! England host Germany, and although this is essentially a meaning game after the results last week, it’s never meaningless between these two given the history. Both sides suffered 1-0 defeats on Friday night meaning England are now relegated to Group B and Germany cannot win the Group. It’s been a very poor Nations League from both sides, however the alarm bells are starting to ring in England.

Germany are a squad in transition, and although it is disappointing that they go into the final Group game without a chance to top it, they won’t be too unhappy. It was always going to be a tough Group – they will be bitterly disappointed losing to Hungary on Friday night but they will still go into the World Cup with a strong chance but not expected to win. They won’t carry the weight of expectation that England do with their media.

It’s fair to say that the England fans and media are now on Gareth Southgate’s back. They have been very poor in this Nations League and as I said before the Italy game on Friday, getting relegated is the last thing you want heading into the World Cup. The Nations League isn’t the be all and end all, but Southgate could really do without this pressure and all the questions from the media. They have to be asked though, and this England squad now looks low on confidence and lacking creativity. It’s hard to see how they turn that around before November.

When you look back at the Euro 2020 run from England, you can’t help but feel they got an easy run of things to the Final. They had home advantage, and the players were buzzing with confidence. They look like a different side heading into this World Cup, and you can easily see a very disappointing result early in the tournament. It’s actually hard to believe that they are shorter price than the likes of Spain and Germany to be honest.

We have an open market here as you would expect – we have had a lot of close games in this Group and this should be no different. We landed a nice lay on England to beat Italy and we can do the same again here at 2.5. I would have the sides a lot closer together in the betting – England just aren’t creating enough at the moment which is obviously a huge worry. Their football has become very boring, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see another low scoring game here. Perhaps Germany could even edge the game 1-0 just like Italy, but England look a very nice lay at the odds.

The Ultra Says:
Three points lay (liability) England to beat Germany at 2.5 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
