BREEDERS CUP: DAQMAN ON 55 BIG-RACE WINS: Daqman and Pricewise go into the final day of the Flat 55-42 to Daqman, who scored at Keeneland with Meditate (WON 41-20), breaking Ryan Moore’s losing Breeders Cup run of 33. But ride of the day was William Buick’s on Mischief Magic, pipping the Daqman bet, Dramatised (2nd 13-1), in the Juvenile Turf Sprint, and giving Charlie Appleby four straight wins in the Cup series.

⭕ 12.50 Doncaster Listed sprint which should be fought out by two soft-ground five-year-olds, Art Power and Commanche Falls.
Under the conditions of the race, Commanche Falls, though rated only 2lb inferior to Art Power, gets 5lb from Tim Easterby’s grey entire.
But he’s only ever won at handicap level, whereas Art Power has three Grade-3 strikes on his CV, which is why he carries 9st 10lb.
Art Power has been fourth twice in the British Champions Sprint and third in the Diamond Jubilee.

⭕ 1.30 Doncaster 1m 2f Listed which contains a hidden horse, Moon de Vega, a Cheshire Oaks and Epsom Oaks contender, saved up for this by master trainer of fillies, Ralph Beckett.
Beckett is going for a hat-trick in the race and his fourth win in the decade, and Moon De Vega is already a Doncaster winner on soft ground. BETDAQ 8.9
FRODON CAN LAND THE BEER MONEY
⭕ 1.50 Wincanton (Badger Beer Chase) Greaneteen put up an awesome performance off top-weight for Paul Nicholls in yesterday’s Haldon Gold Cup and he would love a West Country double with another set an ‘impossible task’, under 12st in this Badger Beer, which Nicholls won three years running (2017-19).
I’m talking about Frodon, who has raced on his home track just the once, when winning the novice chase on this card in 2016. He would become Ryanair winner of 2019 and King George hero of 2020.
He gets into this handicap because his rating has dropped 10lb since those heady days but he’s four times a winner after a break and he and Bryony Frost are a formidable team.
Rocco was 40-1 when, off 134, he won the Badger Beer last year from Potterman who was giving him 17lb; Cap Du Nord, fourth, hampered two out.
Rocco and Potterman seem to have been overlooked again this morning but both go well fresh, have clearly been aimed for this again and will surely go well, if the ground remains on the good side.
But a youngster on the upgrade here, a winner for me at Cheltenham last month at 17-2, who also likes top of the ground, is Lord Accord. If he wins this, he goes for the autumn gold cup at Cheltenham at the end of the month.

GRAND SEFTON IS THE ONE FOR TWO
⭕ 2.11 Aintree (Grand Sefton) This handicap chase over the Grand National fences used to have a bearing on the National itself when run over 3m but, since 2003, has been 2m 5f, like the Topham.
Paul Nicholls has taken it three times in the last nine years but, unlike any of those three winners, Broken Halo has not yet raced outside novice company, and only one Grand Sefton winner in the decade has been younger than eight.
Two For Gold, who loves soft ground, led the field for 23 fences in the Grand National as far as the Canal Turn. Had just been runner-up in the Ascot Chase (2m 5f) so won’t mind dropping back two miles!
Senior Citizen loves these fences; second and seventh in the Grand Sefton and third and eighth in the Topham. He’s also been third and fourth in the Greatwood Gold Cup.
Lifetime Ambition is reckoned to be Jessica Harrington’s Grand National horse, still only seven but already off 151 and so today is a big day to establish his jumping round Aintree and, who knows, this race could have a bearing on the National after all.
With Sam Thomas in form, the grey Al Dancer deserves a try at these fences but he’s a quick jumper and his judgment under Charlie Deutsch will need to be spot on.

MY VOTE’S GOING TO GREENE PARTY
⭕ 3.13 Doncaster (November Handicap) William Haggas hasn’t had the Classic power of Charlie Appleby but 160 winners have been worth £5.7m and he’s finished the season 18 in front of Appleby on a current 35% strike rate.
He’s been the mentor in the making of jockey-find Adam Farragher, who has won 20 times for him at a 25% strike rate.
Adam still claims 3lb and that gives his mount, Nathanael Greene, a 19lb pull over the favourite, Israr, who has to lug 9st 11lb in the atrocious conditions.
Both are three-year-olds, both have won in the mud, but another advantage to Nathanael Greene is that he has been winning at 1m 6f, suggesting two more boxes ticked.
Firstly, he can go up with the pace today, clear of the flying divots; secondly, he has no fears about the 1m 4f trip.
Last year’s winning three-year-old, Farhan, who landed a gamble out of stall 17, has another good draw in 22 and Ryan Sexton (5) brings his weight down to a fighting chance.
The 2020 winner, On To Victory, is back for more, too, but the Alan King stable could have a better chance with the classy Tritonic (gate 19), again thanks to a claim, the 5lb of Callum Hutchinson.

GOLDEN DAY FOR THE PUNTER’S PAL
⭕ 4.29 Keeneland (Breeders Cup Turf Sprint) John Quinn’s Highfield Princess stands between Wesley Ward’s duo, Golden Pal and Campanelle, in the market for and this £385k sprint prize.
Golden Pal, 4-4 at Keeneland, won this race last year on firm at Del Mar, and has just scored over the CD in the Woodford trial, in which he was completing a hat-trick.
Campanelle failed by only threeparts of a length, fourth, in the Platinum Jubilee in June to complete a Royal Ascot hat-trick, after the Queen Mary (2020) and Commonwealth Cup (2021).
Highfield Princess won the Nunthorpe (on firm) and the Flying Five; but – along with Campanelle – was behind in the Platinum Jubilee, where Naval Crown (recently out of form) pipped Charlie Appleby stablemate Creative Force.
Creative Force, who had been 2021 British Champions Sprint (6f) hero for Charlie Appleby with cut in the ground, found the Platinum Jubilee ground too firm, hanging in the final strides.

⭕ 5.50 Keeneland (Breeders Cup Filly And Mare) Expect Above The Curve and Mise En Scene to be flying from the front. Toy could be close up, too, blazing a trail for stablemate Tuesday.
Tuesday’s last three runs on top of the ground were in the Epsom Oaks (lead two out, Nashwa third), Irish Derby (fourth) and Yorkshire Oaks (a length second to Arc winner Alpinista).
Nashwa is now four from six, including the French Oaks and the Nassau Stakes, but finished only a short-head up on Above The Curve when they were second and third in the Opera at the Arc meeting (very soft).
Above The Curve had beaten the Opera winner, Place Carrousel, in the Saint-Alary on better ground in the Spring.
Frankie Dettori’s mount, Moira, taken on Thursday at 20-1, would have landed a summer hat-trick in the E P Taylor (firm) last month but was hampered and beaten a neck on the line (disqualified).

Mishriff could go close for Frankie Dettori on the ground and an easy track.
⭕ 9.40 Keeneland (Breeders Cup Classic) After defeats by Baaeed and Nature Strip, Flightline has shot to the top of the world rankings and aims to keep it that way.
Flightline put up a truly stunning performance in the Pacific Classic at Del Mar in September and is being billed as the new Secretariat.
