TIME TO ATTACCA

⭕ 12.50 Kempton Carlisle was abandoned earlier this morning leaving just Kempton (jumps) and Wolverhampton to start the week.

Kempton and Sandown are only four miles apart as the crow flies but the Sunbury venue seems to have fared better than the Esher one in terms of the rain yesterday which forced Sandown to be abandoned after just three races.

Kempton reported this morning good to soft ground and it’s even ‘good’ in places! Who’d be a clerk of the course?

Nicky Henderson was moaning about winning a walkover last week (it’s a tough life!) complaining that his horse would have a penalty for the privilege.

His Attacca will need to do it the harder way in the opener but he should be ready for a winning debut over hurdles having shown promise on debut at Warwick when second to Are U Wise To That who made a winning hurdling debut himself last month at Uttoxeter.

If you go back in the pedigree book far enough you’ll discover Attacca is a distant relative of Altior – he won’t need to be quite that good to win this!

NOT SO QUICK

⭕ 1.25 Kempton Henderson also has the Betdaq Betting Exchange leader here with Quick Draw who is 4lb lower in the weights than he was for his stable debut at Newbury where he was well beaten in an admittedly much better quality event. He’s 0-4 over fences and doesn’t, yet, seem to be in love with the bigger obstacles.

There might be an angle in playing both Dalamai and Blackcauseway for a WIN 10 return. They have similar profiles in that they are likely improvers for the switch to fences and both are back after breaks.

Dalamai was lightly raced over hurdles but a winner at Ffos Las whilst Blackcauseway was an Irish point winner who made all the running and he is likely to try and do the same today for the Twiston-Davies yard who are ticking over quite nicely. Kempton’s usually a good track for a confirmed front runner.

ALLY, ALLY, ALLY

⭕ 8.30 Wolverhampton A fair old wait until the last bet of the day – Allemande whose starting mark of 73 looks generous against some well exposed types.

The Ralph Beckett trained filly handled all-weather ok on her debut at Kempton and has since finished placed at both Ffos Las and Ripon. The step up in trip should prove a positive.

DAQMAN’S BETS:

12.50 Kempton (win 10, nap)
BET 8.3pts win ATTACCA

1.25 Kempton (both bets to win 10)
BET 2.0pts win BLACKCAUSEWAY
BET 1.8pts win DALAMAI

8.30 Wolverhampton
BET 3.6pts win ALLEMANDE

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
