WEEK AHEAD: There is an intriguing week in store across the televised sporting world, from the FA Cup to Formula One to Rugby and golf. We preview the best of the action below.

Monday kicks off with some Championship action as Swansea take on Rotherham United at the Liberty Stadium, live on Sky Sports from 20:00. As we draw near the conclusion of the second Test between England and New Zealand, the dying stages are sure to be entertaining so don’t forget to tune in on BT Sport from 21:30.

Tuesday provides a host of football matches to keep you entertained, starting with Stoke versus Brighton in the FA Cup, live from 19:15 on ITV. Further FA Cup action follows as Leicester will face Blackburn at 19:30 and Fulham will welcome Leeds at 19:45, both live on BBC. Finally, from 20:00 you can have your pick from Luton Town against Millwall in the Championship (Sky Sports), or if you fancy keeping the FA Cup action going, Bristol City versus Manchester City which will be live on ITV.

Wednesday welcomes plenty more FA Cup drama as Southampton welcome Grimsby Town to St. Mary’s Stadium, with kick-off at 19:15 live on ITV. Next up, Burnley face Fleetwood Town from 19:30 on BBC, and Manchester United battle West Ham on ITV from 19:45. To round up the week’s FA Cup action, Sheffield United will attempt to better Tottenham Hotspur from 19:55 on BBC.

Thursday sees golf fans rejoice as they are treated to not only the HSBC Women’s World Championships (05:30, Sky Sports) but also the Arnold Palmer Invitational, where the players are competing over a $20,000,000 purse, live from 12:00 also on Sky Sports. Thursday is topped off with Premier League Darts action from 19:00 on Sky Sports, as the eight best players in the world head to Westpoint Exeter.

Friday brings the return of the HSBC Women’s World Championships for day two from 05:30, as well as day two of the Arnold Palmer Invitation, both can be watched live on Sky Sports. The Rugby Premiership is back in action from 19:45 as Bristol take on Northampton in what will be a huge clash on BT Sport, and the working week comes to its close with Hull City taking on West Bromwich Albion in some Championship action live from 20:00 on Sky Sports.

The weekend starts off with day three of the HSBC Women’s World Championships from 05:30 on Sky Sports, followed by day three of the Arnold Palmer Invitational from 12:30 on Sky Sports. Then there is a colossal game in the Premier League between Manchester City and Newcastle United from 12:30 on BT Sport, while elsewhere at the same time, Blackburn Rovers will face Sheffield United in a great Championship matchup (Sky Sports). The Rugby Premiership will see another fantastic game as Harlequins welcome Exeter to the Stoop from 17:15 on BT Sport, and finally Southampton will take on Leicester City from 17:30 on Sky Sports.

The week draws to a close with the final day of both the HSBC Women’s World Championships and the Arnold Palmer Invitational at 05:30 and 12:30, respectively, on Sky Sports. The Scottish Premiership sees St Mirren take on Celtic from midday on Sky Sports and is followed by some WSL action with Manchester United Women versus Leicester Women from 12:30 on BBC. At 14:00, Nottingham Forest face Everton on Sky Sports, while in the Rugby Premiership from 15:00, Sale Sharks take on Saracens in what is sure to be another thrilling game of rugby, live on both ITV and BT Sport.

In a huge game in women’s football, Chelsea Women will challenge Arsenal Women in the Women’s League Cup Final from 15:00 on BBC before Formula One makes its long-anticipated return with the Bahrain Grand Prix, which will get underway at 15:00 on Sky Sports. Will we see Max Verstappen take another title? The action-packed week of sports up wraps up with a truly great fixture as Liverpool face Manchester United from 16:30 on Sky Sports.
