THE EDGE: Our cricket tipster The Edge previews Tuesday’s third T20 between BANGLADESH v ENGLAND with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
MATCH OVERVIEW:
We have the third and final T20 between Bangladesh and England on BETDAQ Betting Exchange on Tuesday morning! Unfortunately for England, it’s a dead rubber as Bangladesh have already won the series. Apart from the opening ten overs of the 1st T20, the Bangladesh bowlers have been all over England in the conditions and the batters have backed them up. It’s a huge confidence boosting series win for Bangladesh – beating the World Champions will be a massive deal in Bangladesh, even if England aren’t at full strength.
Not being at full strength is probably the only positive for England, even if you could call it a positive! Their middle-to-low order hasn’t handled the conditions well, and their whole batting line-up failed in the 2nd T20. Although they basically have nothing to play for here, they have to stop the series whitewash. A 3-0 win for Bangladesh would be a bitter pill to accept. From an England point of view, they know that tricky batting conditions are coming against in-form bowlers but they just have to find a way to play them.
England still come into the game as the heavy favourites at 1.52. To be honest after seeing the opening two T20’s I’m surprised they haven’t drifted out more. They were trading 1.5 for the opening two games, I felt we’d see a closer market! There’s no getting away from the fact that England have a hugely talented squad despite missing some stars, but Bangladesh have played superb cricket. Another fascinating game awaits.
WEATHER AND PITCH WATCH:
England only managed 117 batting first in the 2nd T20 here, and Bangladesh didn’t chase it easily either. I would be very surprised if we saw high scoring conditions here, unless we got a very heavy dew. From a Bangladesh point of view, you wouldn’t want decent batting conditions – you would be ordering a slow and low wicket from the groundsman. Let’s watch the opening three overs and confirm conditions, but I would expect a pretty low scoring game.
RECOMMENDED BET:
As I said above, I was surprised to see England as short as 1.52 when I clicked into the market here. I felt after their poor batting performance here in the 2nd T20 they would have drifted out a little more. From a value point of view I’m very happy to be getting the 2.72 on Bangladesh. Their bowlers are on fire at the moment, and obviously they have home conditions to help. England will show up for this game because of pride, but Bangladesh winning a series 3-0 against England is a huge achievement so I would expect nothing less than 100% from both sides despite it being a dead rubber. Bangladesh are the value for me.
The Edge Says:
One point win Bangladesh to beat England at 2.72 with Betdaq Exchange

IN-RUNNING STRATEGY:
After seeing the batting conditions at Mirpur at the weekend, I wouldn’t go looking for trades on either batting side here. I’m happy to focus on finding trades on either bowling side, and I would be happy to back the side that bowls first because I can see plenty of market movement in the first innings. It’s hard to see the side batting first posting a big score, unless we have a heavy dew. The England middle order just hasn’t copped with conditions in the last few games, and it makes sense to take them on again with the Bangladesh bowling in top form.
