ATALANTA V ROMA

7.45pm Monday night footballs from Europe comes from Serie A this week on BETDAQ Betting Exchange as Atalanta host Roma. It’s was an excellent week for Jose Mourinho and his Roma side as they went through to the Europa League Semi-Finals last Thursday with an impressive 4-1 win over Feyenoord after extra-time. The Olimpico was absolutely rocking, and Mourinho after the game reminded me of classic Mourinho – he has really got his spark back at Roma!

It wasn’t all good news for Roma however. Juventus got their 15 points deduction overturned last week – that put Juventus back up into third, and thus three points ahead of Roma. Things are exceptionally tight in the top four race, and that was a decision Roma didn’t want to be honest. It could have been worse too because Juventus lost their last two league games before the decision. Basically every game is a must win game for Roma when you start each matchday with AC Milan and Inter Milan right behind you.

They face another very tough fixture here against Atalanta. We have a reasonably open betting heat, but Atalanta are the clear favourites – they are trading 2.4 at the time of writing with Roma 3.45 and the draw is 3.35. I know Roma have a few issues with injuries, and of course the extra time would have taken a lot out of the team on Thursday night, however to come away with a win is always a pick me up after a hard game like that. I wouldn’t have Atalanta so short – it’s not like they have been playing superb football recently.

Roma were brilliant last weekend beating Udinese 3-0 in another tricky game on paper. Atalanta could only draw with Fiorentina, and they were lucky to pick up a 1-1 draw too because they conceded an xG of over 2.05. In their last home game they lost 2-0 to Bologna here, but they did finish that game with a higher xG figure. I’m not going to go mad with the stakes here, but I do feel the 2.4 is too short on Atalanta. I accept that Roma have their issues, but they have been playing the better football this season and I believe they can grind out a result here. The 2.4 is worth a lay from a value point of view.

The Ultra Says:
Two points lay (liability) Atalanta to beat Roma at 2.4 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
