Monday: profit on the day 7.40pts
WON 3-1 EQUALITY
TIPS AND STATS A WEEK IN ADVANCE: Among stats and facts for Royal Ascot next Wednesday are an ante-post bet, Fortune Cookies, See How They Won, Lays Logic and Thoroughbred Toffs of the two-year-old scene.

TRAINER: Wesley Ward 4. JOCKEY: Frankie Dettori 4
THOROUGHBRED TOFFS Midnight Affair (‘we rate her an awful lot’, says Richard Fahey whose 2yos are his ‘best ever’). Ocean Mermaid, trained Wesley Ward, is by Kingman out of a Frankel mare.
SEE HOW THEY WON: Last year’s Queen Mary winner, Dramatised, runs in the Kings Stand Stakes on Tuesday. KEY STAT: 19 of the last 22 Queen Mary winners had won last time out
⭕ 3.05 Royal Ascot, next Wednesday (Kensington Palace Stakes, 1m fillies’ and mares’ handicap, 1m)
AGE: 4yo 2-2
DRAW: 10 and 17
LAYS LOGIC (FAVOURITE): Though this race is only two years old, its nature negates backing one at a short price, and results so far have been 12-1 beat 10-1 and 40-1 beat 40-1 and 22-1. A pinstickers’ race.
⭕ 3.40 Royal Ascot, Wednesday (Duke Of Cambridge Stakes, 1m)
AGE: Four-year-olds have won 11 out of 12.
DRAW: stall 5 has won two of the last three but winners out of gates 9, 10, 11, 12 tot up to five out of nine.
TRAINER: John Gosden 4, Sir Michael Stoute 4, James Fanshawe 2
FORTUNE COOKIE: Above The Curve
⭕ 4.20 Royal Ascot, Wednesday (Prince Of Wales’s Stakes, 1m 2f)
AGE: Four and five 10-11.
DRAW: Stalls 6 and 7 four out of six; only one higher than 7 in the decade.
RATINGS: 119 to 125 (five out of seven)

AGE: 4yo seven out of eight.
WEIGHT: 9st to 9st 5lb 8-9
DRAW: 4 to 11 five; 21 to 33 five.
SEE HOW THEY RUN: Last year was a rare year when middle stalls did best; with the winner and third out of 15 and 16, Intellogent was sandwiched into second from gate 4 but tries again next week. Just one win from his last 25 starts but placed 34243322232324.
LAYS LOGIC (FAVOURITE): Only one winner in the last 26 years.
TRAINER: Two each Charles Hills, John Gosden, James Fanshawe, and Saeed Bin Suroor
FORTUNE COOKIE (ante-post) Perotto
⭕ 5.35 Royal Ascot, Wednesday (Queens Vase, 1m 6f)
AGE: 3yo only
DRAW: Single-figure stall 10 out of 11.
SEE HOW THEY WON: Only a superb ride by Ryan Moore, tucking in behind instead of racing wide, won for the 12 stall (the gamble, Aloft in 2015) and, of course, Stradivarius, didn’t get a clear run from 9 and had to be switched to win, and win he did (2017).
FAVOURITE: 3-10
TRAINER: Team Johnston 7, Aidan O’Brien 7 Sir Michael Stoute 4
JOCKEY: Ryan Moore 3-8
⭕ 6.10 Royal Ascot, Wednesday (Windsor Castle Stakes, 5f)
AGE: 2yo only
TRAINER: Aidan O’Brien 3, Wesley Ward 2. Of O’Brien’s winners, two had won only their maiden; one was still a maiden. Ward’s winners were heavily backed.
JOCKEY: Ryan Moore 3-8
DRAW: Three winners in a row had come out of stalls 22, 24 and 20 until the one stall won it two years ago and gate 2 followed up last season. Extremes of the draw, then!
THOROUGHBRED TOFFS: Barnwell Boy is the first foal of a Frankel mare related to high-class sprinters.
PYLING ON THE PRESSURE
⭕ 2.40 Haydock An interesting novice event which brings together the unbeaten fillies Truthful and Shagpyle who should dominate the race like the Betdaq Betting Exchange market suggests.
Truthful came out best in a bunch finish at Salisbury beating the favourite Mantoog by a head. The runner-up didn’t really give that form much of a boost when she ran at Chelmsford next time out finishing fifth in an admittedly better race.
I prefer the potential of Shagpyle who won very smartly on debut at Ascot when it was soft. We need to take an educated guess that she will be equally as effective on the faster ground but she’s a half sister to the high class Pyledriver who won the King George at Ascot for the same connections on good to firm!
The three other runners are by no means out of it if the front two don’t make the expected improvement and best of the rest could be Montevideo from the Charlie Johnston yard that sent out five winners from four different tracks yesterday.
FOURTH AW WIN FOR FOUR?
⭕ 6.40 Kempton Four Adaay seems to reserve her best form for the all-weather these days (3 from 6) and was a course and distance winner here last month.
The handicapper has given her a chance of following up off just a 3lb higher mark. She was a beaten favourite last time out at Bath but ran much too freely and that effort is probably best put down to a a bad day at the office.
Hello Me is the obvious danger if the first time applied visor conjures some improvement.
COLLECT ON REFUGE
⭕ 8.25 Hamilton Market leader Newyorkstateofmind is only 1-34 on the all-weather and Ruth Carr’s runners are not in the best of form.
The percentage play might be Refuge who is a four time winner over course and distance and this might just be an easier opening than his run here at the end of last month when he finished third.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
