QUEEN MARY SAILS AT MIDNIGHT

⭕ 2.30 Royal Ascot (Queen Mary Stakes, 5f) STATS and facts: Daqman last Wednesday.

With stalls 14-25 taking the race seven years out of eight and with last-time winners 86% successful, we have a short-list of Balsam, Crimson Advocate, Cynane, Midnight Affair, Thanksbutnothanks, Relief Rally and the very professional Got To Love A Grey.

It’s an international affair, with Wesley Ward running Bundchen instead of Ocean Maiden, who was beaten by George Weaver’s Crimson Advocate on firm at Gulfstream a month back.

Cynane is another flying American with stamina in the breeding as well as speed on the track.

We assume that the French filly Balsam would need more rain but Midnight Affair is one of our Thoroughbred Toffs. She put up a cracking time at Beverley. BETDAQ around 10.0 each Got To Love A Grey and Midnight Affair.

SPENCER NOT SHY OF BIG FIELDS

⭕ 3.05 Royal Ascot (Kensington Palace Stakes, 1m fillies’ and mares’ handicap, 1m) STATS and facts: Daqman last Wednesday.

A pinstickers’ race so far (only two runnings) with lightweights winning among double-figure draws

That includes Tamarama (Frankie Dettori trying to get on the board!) and big-field ace Jamie Spencer on Farrh To Shy, back to form here the last day.

Belhaven is worse off with Farrh To Shy, though beaten by him, but Pierre-Louis Jamin’s claim is the equaliser.

Betdaq Betting Exchange 11 Tamarama, 24 Farrh To Shy, 25 Belhaven

GRANDE VALUE AT BETDAQ 7.4

⭕ 3.40 Royal Ascot (Duke Of Cambridge Stakes, 1m) STATS and facts: Daqman last Wednesday.

It’s Grande Dame (Team Gosden) against Potopova (Sir Michael Stoute) on trainerform – four wins each in this – but, despite his draw, Jumbly is in great heart right now and he runs instead of Above The Curve.

Random Harvest, second in the Kensington Palace Handicap last year, and a CD winner two weeks later, finished close up to Prosperous Harvest the last day and is now better off at the weights.

BETDAQ value 3.7 Jumbly, 7.4 Grande Dame, 21 Random Harvest

LUXEMBOURG LOOKS A BANKER

⭕ 4.20 Royal Ascot (Prince Of Wales’s Stakes, 1m 2f) STATS and facts: Daqman last Wednesday.

Top trainers in this, Aidan O’Brien (4) with Luxembourg, Team Gosden (4) with Mostahdaf and Sir Michael Stoute (3) with Bay Bridge, are taken on by the 2021 Derby winner, Adayar.

My Prospero, a neck behind Guineas winner Coroebus in the St James’s Palace here last year, ran Bay Bridge to half a length in the Champion Stakes.

BETDAQ value: FORTUNE COOKIE Luxembourg 2.92, My Prospero 5.7

THREE AGAINST HUNT CUP FIELD

⭕ 5.00 Royal Ascot (Royal Hunt Cup, 1m) STATS and facts: Daqman last Wednesday.

My stats opposed the favourite (only one winner in 25 years). Now I find my ante-post bet lining up as favourite!

1 PEROTTO I named Perotto as a FORTUNE COOKIE for this race when 20-1, 16-1 and 14-1 and watched him slide down as low as 6-1 with the bookies.

This morning on the BETDAQ exchange, the former Britannia Handicap winner was 8.5; I shall record 11.0 ante-post.

A stone below his mark at this meeting last year, he finished well in the Victoria Cup at Ascot the last day on ground too soft. Drawn 30.

2 GHALY In races up a mile yesterday, stalls 6, 7 and 8 won three out of four and had 50% of places.

Ghaly (BETDAQ 9.9) is in 8 and other advantages are the skills of Saeed bin Suroor, the seven-year-old’s progressive form, from an 85 to a 96 and, on form, his five-lengths defeat last October of Rebel Territory, the very winner of the Victoria Cup last month. Drawn 8.

3 DUNUM (13.5) Form figures since moving to County Down trainer Natalia Lupini: 1111212. Stays further than the mile and this course looks ideal. Drawn 11.

42.0 HADRIANUS BIG FOR A PLACE

⭕ 5.35 Royal Ascot (Queens Vase, 1m 6f) STATS and facts: Daqman last Wednesday.

The final Derby trial of the Spring, the Cocked Hat at Goodwood, may hold the key to this.

The strong galloper Gregory won it but some race watchers thought Hadrianus, who had the run of the race, was setting himself up for this.

He is brother to a two-miler and trained by Team Johnston, who are responsible for as many Queens Vase winners as Aidan O’Brien (seven each).

The royal runner, Circle Of Fire, the Lingfield Derby Trial third, is another who should benefit from the extra distance.

Peking Opera (Aidan O’Brien) and Etna Rosso (Joseph O;’Brien) were one-two at Navan over a furlong short of today’s trip, and both are expected to improve.

BETDAQ value (check for movement) 2.74 Gregory, 6.4 Peking Opera, 8.6 Circle Of Fire, 42 Hadrianus

BRAHMS TUNED UP FOR MOORE

⭕ 6.10 Royal Ascot (Windsor Castle Stakes, 5f) STATS and facts: Daqman last Wednesday.

Two of Aidan O’Brien’s winners of this had won only their maiden like Johannes Brahms (BETDAQ 5.8), who has Ryan Moore riding his best at Ascot this week.

World Of Darcy (15.5) ran up to Norfolk Stakes hot-pot, Elite Darcy, when the stablemates met at Sandown.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
