THE EDGE: The Edge previews the fourth T20 between England v New Zealand with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
MATCH OVERVIEW:
We have the 4th and final T20 between England and New Zealand on BETDAQ Betting Exchange Tuesday evening, and the series is still on the line! England absolutely hammered New Zealand in the first two T20’s, but New Zealand’s batting finally came to the party on Sunday at Edgbaston scoring 202/5. It’s been a while since England faced that kind of run rate pressure, and they failure miserably too ending up all out for 128.
England won’t be bothered by that. They will keep attacking and keep swinging. At the start of this journey, even before Bazball was a thing, England used to have a lot more collapses before going on to eventually win the ODI and T20 World Cups with the same tactics. I can’t see much changing to be honest. The market movements have been very interesting though – England only came in three ticks after they hammered New Zealand in the 2nd T20; now they’re now out nine ticks from their price in the 3rd T20. I feel that’s a little overreaction to be honest.
Nevertheless, it was good to see New Zealand bounce back. Another win here would see them draw the series so there’s plenty to play for; although mainly all the talk is about the ODI World Cup at the moment! We should have another exciting game ahead.
WEATHER AND PITCH WATCH:
We’re at Trent Bridge today, and this is usually a high scoring venue domestically. We actually haven’t had many International T20’s here recently. Pakistan played in 2021 while India played in 2022, prior to those fixtures you had to go all the way back to 2012! We saw two very high scoring games – Pakistan posted 232/6 while India managed 215/7. England got just above and below 200 in both chases but came up short. It always sounds a bit dramatic when you say the side batting first needs 200, but this has been a fast scoring series and we have a high scoring ground!
RECOMMENDED BET:
As I said above, I feel the 1.56 on England now is a little overreaction and I’m happy to back them at that price. I fully accept that their batting failed, but they could easily bounce back here to be honest. It’s just another day in T20. The more important factor is probably the confidence New Zealand will take from their batting firing and their bowling finally showing up but England have looked much the better side over the course of the series so far. I feel they can close it out with a win here.
The Edge Says:
Three points win England to beat New Zealand at 1.56 with Betdaq Exchange

IN-RUNNING STRATEGY:
At Trent Bridge, you don’t really want to be looking for trades on the bowling side! It generally pays to support the batting side here, and I wouldn’t rule out a successful chase over 200 either. I think it’s a very wise decision to support the side who bats first given the good batting conditions expected – I would increase stakes if that was England and just use a normal stake if that was New Zealand. I’d be looking to close out the trade at the inning break too because I don’t fancy being on the bowlers from either side here.
