ARMENIA V WALES

2pm The Euro 2024 Qualifiers continue on Saturday on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE with Wales and the Republic of Ireland both in action. We have two fascinating markets to look at, and they are also two very important games as we get to the crunch stage in both Groups. We start the day in Group D as Armenia host Wales. This Group has already produced a surprise with Croatia actually sitting outside the top two heading into this International break; the general feeling was Turkey and Wales would battle it out for second place behind Croatia but that hasn’t proven to be the case. Turkey have a six point lead with Wales sitting in second and Croatia in third both on ten points. Turkey only play once more, but they are basically through on the head-to-head situation. That leaves Croatia and Wales battling it out for second spot, and Wales are under even more pressure because of their Nations League performance they aren’t certain of a playoff spot. What is in their favour however is their Nations League ranking in an A Group. A fascinating week ahead though, and Wales meet Turkey next week too.

Wales made a superb start to this Group with a 1-1 draw away to Croatia, but their excellent start came crashing down with a 4-2 loss with home advantage against Armenia. That will prove to be good motivation here; but they are doing it the hard way! They were long odds on favourites with home advantage; this time they are trading at 2.0. A home win is 4.3 and the draw is 3.6. That win over Wales is one of only two wins in this Group for Armenia – the other being a 2-1 win here against Latvia which they needed an injury time winner in too. They have been solid at the back though; they picked up a draw away to Turkey and they haven’t been hammered at any stage. I would expect them to be very solid at the back, and that’s going to be a challenge for Wales given they have struggled to create chances. After beating Croatia in the last International break, not winning here would be throwing away so much hard work from Wales! I’m happy to stay out of the match odds market here however; this game screams Under 2.5 goals and that’s an appealing price at 1.74.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.74 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

NETHERLANDS V REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

7.45pm We go to Group B to finish Saturday as Netherlands host the Republic of Ireland. The way things have worked out, Ireland are more than likely going to get a playoff spot – their chances actually increase with a Netherlands win here which is amazing when you think about it! The reality is though that they don’t really deserve a playoff spot, and they will likely be comfortably beaten at the time too. They have been very poor in this Group, and they’ve been very poor for a while now. Their only points have come against Gibraltar and they have been totally outplayed in every other game. Usually you’d give an Irish side a fighters chance in games like this, but it’s a sign of the times that Netherlands are trading as short as 1.21 to win here. That price just shows how far Ireland have fallen. If you fancy a shock, Ireland are trading 20.0 with the draw at 7.6. Ireland have really struggled to score goals and create chances, especially against the top sides and their best chance of a result here seems to be a 0-0 draw. Away to the Netherlands, that’s going to be very tough. I feel this market is all about how many goals can the Netherlands score rather than will they win.

Netherlands need to win too; they are sitting in the top two at the moment but they have the same amount of points as Greece. They can’t afford a slip-up against Ireland even though they have a game in hand. Greece have to play France too, but they have home advantage and France will likely field a weakened side given they’re already through. A win here can put things to bed for the Netherlands. This will be Ireland’s final Euro 2024 qualifying game, and it will be interesting to see what the manager does afterwards. He’s come out fighting so far, but the fans are growing tired. Netherlands had to work hard for a result in Dublin, but with home advantage I’d expect a much more comfortable win here. They can cover the 1.5 goal Handicap, and that’s trading 1.69 at the moment which looks a nice position.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Netherlands -1.5 goals to beat Republic of Ireland at 1.69 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
