NO HIDING PLACE WHEN YOU LOSE: After nine winning bets in a week, including three naps up in five days, Daqman’s bubble burst yesterday. You can expect one Saturday banker to disappoint, but three? Broadway Boy, Edwardstone and Malina Girl all underperformed. His archrival lost, too, so Daqman v Pricewise remains on 20-7, with Pricewise ducking the day today under cover of Members Club Tips. There is no charge for the Daqman service.

BIG-RACE ANALYSIS: Today it’s the Moscow Flyer Novice Chase. Monday and Tuesday, Daqman checks out the Champion Chase and Arkle markets at the Cheltenham festival.

POWER SOURCE FOR FLYER

⭕ 1.35 Punchestown (Moscow Flyer Novice Chase) Twenty-six strikes out of 30, still standing; that was the record of Moscow Flyer for Jessica Harrington. Incredible.

Willie Mullins’ six winners in a decade of this novice chase have included Vautour (10 wins in his career) and Douvan (15), not as many as Moscow Flyer put together but winners of £596k and £610k respectively.

Is there a half-millionaire horse in today’s small field? Though Mystical Power is morning favourite for Mullins, his seeming ‘second string’ in the betting, Lombron, is the pick of Paul Townend.

One of the Mystical Power magnets for backers is that his dam was one of the richest sequence-winners of them all: Annie Power had 15 wins in 17 starts (for £715k in the kitty) and this is her first foal.

A son of Galileo, Mystical Power is 2-2, one bumper, one novice hurdle at Galway; but the obvious query is why we haven’t seen him since the end of July and will that affect his fitness for today.

Lombron has had one run since joining Mullins from France; a comfortable success from 16 others at Thurles in November.

Gordon Elliott’s Jigoro ran clear of 25 others on heavy ground at Navan last month, and may be the main threat to Mystical Power.

MASSINI’S YARD IN HOT FORM

⭕ 1.50 Kelso Moscow Flyer? What about Monet’s Garden, 32 races without a tumble or even a stumble, ‘with the feet of Michael Flatley and the heart of Mother Teresa;’ so said the Racing Post.

Monet’s Garden earned £683k from 17 wins and six places, over seven years including success on his hurdles debut here at Kelso in 2003, so a suitable venue for this series qualifier in his name.

Sandy Thomson’s Berwickshire yard has won this race twice in the last four seasons and Massini Man was an unlucky faller over today’s CD a grade higher on the last day, looking the likely winner.

Brian Ellison has had three winners from his last four runners and Tupelo Mississippi is 13lb down the handicap on his rating of a year ago, and should be firing now after wind surgery and two runs back.

Betdaq Betting Exchange 4.5 Massini Man, 8 Tupelo Mississippi.

⭕ 2.50 Kelso The mud at Kelso may throw up more unexpected results and bog down the speed horses.

But, if he repeats his all-the-way tactics at Haydock just before Christmas, The Churchill Lad will be away and gone, and puffing on the big cigar before lesser lights in the race can get going. BETDAQ value 3.25

PRINCE ZENDA CAN SHOW ZIP

⭕ 3.00 Lingfield Hugo Palmer has had three winners out of five in the last nine days, and Prince Of Zenda won first run back in the autumn after a summer break but could not hold his form in class 3.

If you watch his free running at Chelmsford over 7f in December (weakened final furlong), you would fancy him to make all today, dropped to 6f and stepping down a grade.

It doesn’t always work that way but I couldn’t back the favourite, Count Otto, five years older, giving weight all round, and beaten a neck over CD at the end of December.

His trainer, Amanda Perrett, has to go on the attack on the same course after that run but the yard hasn’t had a winner since August from 18 starters.

Habooba, Tyke and Tyger Bay are all raised in class, and One Night Stand prefers 5f. BETDAQ value 6.0 Prince Of Zenda

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
