THURSDAY FA CUP: The Striker previews Thursday’s BOURNEMOUTH v SWANSEA match with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BOURNEMOUTH V SWANSEA
7.45pm It’s an FA Cup weekend on BETDAQ Betting Exchange as we kick off the Fourth Round on Thursday night. It’s not the most glamourous fixture as Bournemouth host Swansea, but we usually see drama between these two. Bournemouth won 3-2 when the sides met in the Carabao Cup earlier in the season, and hopefully we see the same amount of action in front of goal. Bournemouth have played a very open game in the Premier League this season and they have been entertaining to watch too. They will be fully expected to win here being the Premier League side hosting a Championship side.
The market is very confident on the home win too. Bournemouth are trading as short as 1.31 at the time of writing with Swansea 10.5 and the draw is 6.0. The sides don’t meet that often because of the different leagues, but we have had a lot of goals when they have. As I mentioned above, Bournemouth won 3-2 when the sides met in the Carabao Cup – they needed an injury time winner but bossed most of the game. Prior to that, we saw a 3-3 draw plus 4-0 and 3-0 wins for Bournemouth. The 1.31 is a little short to get involved with on Bournemouth, so we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value.
Bournemouth have been very entertaining to watch in the Premier League this season. They are conceding very close to two goals per game which isn’t a good stat to have, but they have been impressive going forward. Their 4-0 loss to Liverpool at the weekend was the first time they failed to score in the Premier League for 12 games dating back to early October. They also managed to put together an unbeaten run of seven games including six wins. Swansea are having a pretty average season as they sit at the lower end of mid-table in the Championship, and it would be a big surprise if we saw anything other than a Bournemouth win here.
Swansea have been conceding an average xG of 1.5 in the Championship this season. That’s actually one of the worst figures – the fifth worst in fact and it’s over 1.5 away from home too. Both sides are pretty poor at the back to tell the truth, and this game screams goals in my opinion. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.58 and that stands out as the best bet here. Both Teams To Score is also a nice option at 2.01 – I was surprised to see that trading marginally odds against but I prefer the Overs bet all things considered.
The Striker Says:
Two points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.58 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
