WEDNESDAY CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: The Ultra previews ATLETICO MADRID v INTER MILAN and DORTMUND v PSV both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
ATLETICO MADRID V INTER MILAN
8pm We have another huge night in the Champions League on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE to enjoy on Wednesday! We have another two ties perfectly set up after the first legs, and it promises to be another drama night of action. We kick it off with Atletico Madrid hosting Inter Milan; this should be a fascinating battle with Inter Milan 1-0 ahead after the first leg. Although Inter have been world class in Serie A this season – they are running away with the title as they are a whopping 16 points clear now after the weekend – they definitely would have liked another goal in the first leg when they had home advantage. As I highlighted in my preview of that game, Atletico have had issues away from home this season but at home they have been a different animal. Away from home in La Liga, Atletico are only marginally creating more than they are conceding. They have dropped points eleven times this season and ten of those have been away from home. Obviously it’s concerning they lost 2-0 to Cadiz at the weekend because they are in the relegation zone, but again that was away from home – they are four games without a win away from home in La Liga now. The time to put the tie to bed for Inter was the first leg in my opinion, but they’ve been so good this season it’s going to be interesting how this goes!
We have a very open betting heat; Inter Milan are the favourites at 2.6 with Atletico Madrid 3.05 and the draw is 3.4 at the time of writing. It will be interesting to see what tactics Inter employ here; they don’t have to chase the game so can we expect a classic Italian cagey performance or will they come out and attacking? If they do attack, they will have success against this Atletico side who have leaked too many chances in La Liga this season. Atletico also come up against a world class defence. Inter have an average xG conceded of just 1.06 this season which is the best defensive figure in Serie A. They’ve conceded just one goal in their last five Serie A games too. The market is expecting a low scoring game; Under 2.5 goals is the favourite at 1.86 and I would agree with that. I can’t see Inter making this game too open given they have the lead, but at the same time I still feel if they attack Atletico they will have success – just like Athletic Bilbao did in the Copa del Rey Semi-Final recently. I’m going to keep stakes limited because Inter do have the lead, but the 2.6 looks good value – they have been levels above Atletico this season and as Atletico chase the game that’s when Inter can win it.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Inter Milan to beat Atletico Madrid at 2.6 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

DORTMUND V PSV
8pm We finish the Last 16 stage with Dortmund hosting PSV, and this is another perfectly set up tie after a 1-1 draw in the first leg. Dortmund come into the game as the favourites at 2.14 with PSV trading 3.45 and the draw is 4.0 at the time of writing. Dortmund would have been very pleased with a 1-1 draw in the first leg; PSV finished with a high xG figure and they have had plenty of issues away from in the Bundesiga this season. They have been conceding more than they have been creating away from home this season, so now this is their chance. Dortmund have been much better since coming back from the winter break in the Bundesliga; they have gone from six points behind RB Leipzig to one point ahead and sitting in fourth. PSV are running away with the Eredivisie; they lead the way by ten points and it’s fair to say that gap isn’t closing – it is hard to judge the level of the Dutch league especially with Ajax so off the pace this season, but PSV have yet to lose a domestic league game this season. You’d have to say this is their biggest test of the season though!
PSV do have a terrible record away to German sides; they have gone 16 games in Germany without a win but they are a different side now. They have the talent this time around to break that run. Dortmund have conceded plenty of chances here, and with PSV so good going forward this season I wouldn’t have Dortmund as short as 2.14 here. I fully respect the fact that they have been average away from home, and we can expect an improved performance here but I still wouldn’t have them as short as 2.14. This is a pure value bet in my opinion – I just expect to see a closer game than the odds suggest and betting is all about value at the end of the day. This isn’t a game to go crazy with stakes so two points feels a nice position – I wouldn’t be surprised to see PSV actually win here but it’s nice to have the draw on our side too.
The Ultra Says:
