NETHERLANDS V SCOTLAND

7.45pm With the Euro 2024 Playoffs during this International break, we have plenty of friendly action to enjoy on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE as well. Most football fans really don’t like International breaks, but the Nations League has at least made 90% of the International breaks competitive in some form now. The reality is that it’s fixture lists like this week that put off most football fans; this will no doubt be a great trip for Scotland fans but aside from that it is a meaningless fixture.

Netherlands will be expected to win, and they come into the game as the odds on favourites. They are trading 1.46 with Scotland 8.3 and the draw is 4.5 at the time of writing. Obviously a key trading element here will be the team news; you’d expect some changes and players possibly feeling “niggles” with big games coming up for their clubs. Scotland have made great progress recently; highlighted by qualifying for Euro 2024 finishing second behind Spain. Norway and Erling Haaland would have been the favourites for that spot, but they didn’t even make the Playoffs because of their Nations League.

Scotland have a full squad to choose from, and you’d expect them to take this fixture pretty seriously. Beating the Netherlands away from home would be a huge result, especially for their confidence levels heading into the Euro’s. You’d have to expect the hosts to be more relaxed, and they’ll probably play a very open game here. Some of the recent home Netherlands games have been very entertaining, end-to-end clashes with plenty of goals. They will be without Frenkie de Jong who is injured.

These two actually played a friendly in 2021 in the Algarve. That finished 2-2, and I’d expect goals again here. Scotland haven’t won recently as they finished their qualifying with a few draws and such, but their level has definitely improved. I would suggest that the 1.46 is a few ticks too short on the Netherlands and I would expect a closer game than those odds suggest. I’m going to keep stakes low, but a Netherlands lay at 1.46 looks a nice position in what should be an entertaining game.

The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Netherlands to beat Scotland at 1.46 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
