BACK-TO-BACK DAQMAN NAPS UP: Tamaris means tenacious and that’s how Daqman hunts down the winning naps, with BETDAQ providing the value.

AINTREE FIELD FACES HEAVY GROUND: The Grand National will be whittled down to 34 runners, so 24 could miss the cut, and trainers were warned yesterday that the going is likely to be on the heavy side. Daqman checks out the likely non-runners and those with modest form in deep ground.

SPOT GRAND NATIONAL LOSERS

🤔 LAYS LOGIC You wouldn’t back ‘em; you’d lay ‘em, if you could. First the 21 unlikely to make the field, with the cut-off point this year 34.

And among the top 38 who have a reasonable chance of taking part (based on past withdrawals at this stage), are 10 for whom the going will be dead against.

Parts of the Grand National course are already heavy and more rain is forecast before the big day next Saturday.

COULD MISS THE CUT: Chambard (37), Kittys Light (38), Malina Girl (39), Empire Steel (40), Desertmore House (41 and already declared a doubtful runner), Fantastic Lady (42), Kinondo Kwetu (43), Shakem Up’Arry (44), Ontheropes (45), Fakir D’Alene (46), Annual Invictus (47), Angels Dawn (48), Amirite (49), Tullybeg (50), Iron Bridge (51), Cepage (52), Famous Bridge (53), Frontal Assault (54), Good Boy Bobby (55), Tommie Beau (56), Where It All Began (57), Full Back (58)

MAY HATE THE GROUND: The 10 below face heavy ground which has not brought out their best form to date:

❓ CAPODANNO Has never won an open chase on worse than yielding, though won on soft-heavy when a novice.

❓ CHEMICAL ENERGY Placed in a chase on soft but all winning form over fences on good ground.

❓ ELDORADO ALLEN Has not won a chase on worse than good to soft.

❓ FOXY JACKS Winning chase form is good, good to soft or yielding

❓ FURY ROAD Has not won a chase on worse than yielding ground.

❓ GALVIN Winner mainly on good ground or yielding; has never won a chase on soft.

❓ KITTYS LIGHT Has never won any race on ground worse than good to soft.

❓ NOBLE YEATS Has won on deep ground but his major successes at Aintree and Cheltenham have been on good to soft.

❓ STATTLER Has not won a chase on worse than yielding to soft.

❓ THE GOFFER Has not won a chase on worse than yielding.

TWO DOWN

A depleted days racing with Nottingham and Sedgefield both being called off and Catterick’s heavy ground card containing some impossible looking races.

Five of the eight races at Kempton are maidens / races where no horse has won a race so it’s a day of slim pickings and no surprises I am keeping stakes low!

LADIES FIRST

⭕ 1.55 Catterick A dilemma for punters here as Michael and David Easterby saddle the front two in the Betdaq Betting Exchange market.

I actually prefer the chances of second favourite One For The Ladies, purely on the grounds of stamina which seems an odd thing to say about a five furlong race.

This however will be run on heavy ground and One For The Ladies does have proven form on heavy and over longer trips which might be just what is needed to get home.

In contrast, King Of The Jungle’s recent good spell (two wins from three) has come on the all-weather and this will be his first experience on heavy ground. He had one previous outing on soft at Doncaster and could only finish 10th of 15.

TIME FOR HICKORY

⭕ 7.00 Kempton I’ll chance Hickory for today’s nap at a sporting price.

The James Fanshawe trained runner is 2-3 here and probably a better class than these at his best.

He put together two solid efforts at Ascot in class 2 handicaps last year finishing placed on both occasions and remains on the same mark.

We obviously have the 179 day absence to contend with but the same goes for market rivals Caragio (135 days) and Zero Carbon (154 days) so they are all in the same boat from that point of view.

WHITE NOT TO BE MIST

⭕ 7.30 Kempton White Mist remains in prolific form since the visor was applied and the filly can go close to repeating her course and distance success in February.

She was only narrowly denied at Wolverhampton last time out suggesting she can still be competitive off her new mark and is preferred to Bella Kopella who is up 7lb for her comfortable win at Newcastle and is now on a career high mark.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
