DAQMAN’S TWO OUT OF THREE: Daqman took aim and shot two winners out of three yesterday, including BETDAQ value with Gunsight Ridge. His nap finished second for form on the day of 112 and a double-figure profit.
Wednesday: profit on the day 12.9 points
WON 5-2 MEATLOAF
WON 6-4 GUNSIGHT RIDGE BETDAQ 3.0
GUINEAS FORM AND RATINGS: Daqman can’t wait for the big events at Sandown this weekend, so he’s checking out the 1,000 Guineas form and ratings, after the 2,000 yesterday.
LUCKY SEVEN IN THE 1,000 GUINEAS
⭕ 1,000 GUINEAS Aidan O’Brien is on 0-5 – that’s five losers – in England this season, and his hold on the first fillies’ Classic has already faded, with Opera Singer a non-runner and Ylang Ylang overtaken at the head of the market by Fallen Angel. Ratings and form:
116 FALLEN ANGEL (Karl Burke) Exponential improvement as a two-year-old from novice to Listed to Group-3 and Group-1 strikes in the Sweet Solera and the Moyglare.
112 YLANG YLANG (Aiden O’Brien) After back-to-back wins in the summer, her form crashed in the Moyglare (last of nine) but was too bad to be true; she had already beaten the Moyglare runner-up easily at Leopardstown.
Returned to the winner’s enclosure in the Fillies Mile over the Guineas course on soft, beating See The Fire and reversing the form with the runner-up in the Rockfel, in which she was third.
110 DARNATION (Karl Burke) Stablemate to Fallen Angel, completed a hat-trick when readily beating See The Fire in the May Hill but had the worst draw and was too keen in the Marcel Boussac, six-lengths fifth to Opera Singer.
108 SEE THE FIRE (Andrew Balding) May Hill runner-up to Darnation (see above) and third, beaten a length and a quarter, to Ylang Ylang in the Fillies Mile.
106 DANCE SEQUENCE (Charlie Appleby) Oh So Sharp Stakes winner over the Newmarket 7f in October, so it was a surprise to see her jink in the dip and get pipped by Pretty Crystal in the Nell Gwyn at the Craven Meeting.
106 PRETTY CRYSTAL (Richard Fahey) Gamely won the Nell Gwyn (7f good) at Newmarket this Spring, holding Dance Sequence a neck.
106 RAMATUELLE (Christopher Head) Robert Papin success and runner-up in the Morny to the Middle Park winner, Vandeek, with the Ballydoyle colt, River Tiber, a well-beaten third. Same sire (Justify) as the 2,000 Guineas favourite, City Of Troy.
TAKE A CHANCE ON ME
⭕ 4.20 Warwick Take No Chances ran a cracker at Newbury last time out and I have been waiting for his reappearance.
He went down by only a nose to Zain Nights and would have won with another stride. It’s good news he didn’t as the handicapper might have pushed him up further than the 4lb he has and a repetition of that effort should be good enough in what looks a lower quality race – even though technically it is still a class 3.
The form of the Newbury race took a massive boost when Zain Nights came out to win at Cheltenham earlier this month in a class 2.
Nicky Henderson saddles Hyland who is the chief market rival on Betdaq Betting Exchange . The stable are definitely in better form now so it’s best to draw a line through his Festival run at Cheltenham when only 14th in the Pertemps Final and a return to his early season form puts him right in this. He looks the obvious danger.
I’M SHOUTING ABOUT EGO HERE
⭕ 5.20 Perth A big field and a wide open market for the finale but it might not be as competitive as the betting suggests.
So many of these are badly out of form and/or needing massive help from the handicapper.
One that stands out is Serious Ego who is entitled to have an ego in this race as he has four previous wins to his name in an event where winning form is scarce.
The Nicky Richards trained runner, now an eleven-year-old, won back to back race at Hexham last year and then just struggled off a higher mark.
He’s on the way down the weights again and although well beaten at Musselburgh last time out that came in a class 2 and he’s now in a class 5 and a bad class 5 at that ! A cheeky WIN 30 attempt from Daqman at 11am odds of 7.2.
THE LATE SHIFT NAP
⭕ 9.00 Chelmsford Daqman is setting his alarm clock for tonight’s 9pm nap. Cavallucio will hopefully prove worth the wait.
The Alice Haynes trained runner is proving a model of consistency this season and is taken to follow up on his course and distance success of January, despite now being 10lb higher in the weights.
His runs since have all proved he’s still competitive off this mark and his two main rivals here have lengthy absences to overcome. Obsidian Knight (259 days) and Wonder Starelzaam (246 days).
It might leave perennial bridesmaid Isle Of Sark as the danger. After winning on debut at Dundalk the gelding has failed in 19 starts since and is on a current run of 22323 this season – including three defeats when sent off favourite. He comes with a massive wealth warning but has the form to be competitive.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
