SATURDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews cup final action between KAISERSLAUTERN v BAYER LEVERKUSEN and LYON v PSG both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
KAISERSLAUTERN V BAYER LEVERKUSEN
7pm We have some huge Cup action from Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE as we play the Finals of the Germany Cup and Coupe De France on Saturday. We also have action from La Liga as they have broken up those fixtures over the weekend, but to be honest there isn’t much to play for in La Liga this weekend given everything is decided already. We kick off Saturday with the Germany Cup Final, and Bayer Leverkusen will be hoping to bounce back from losing their unbeaten record on Wednesday night in the Europa League Final as they take on Kaiserslautern. Bayer Leverkusen are going to be fully expected to win here given the gulf in class between the sides on paper, and they come into the game as the red-hot favourites. Xabi Alonso’s side are trading as short as 1.17 at the time of writing with Kaiserslautern 21.0 and the draw is 9.4. Most casual football fans won’t know much about Kaiserslautern, and who could blame them as they finish towards the bottom of the table in Bundesliga 2. They were 13th out of 18 sides but in fairness to them they were playing the league below that in 2021/22. To get this far is an incredible achievement for Kaiserslautern, but it is hard to see them getting a result.
Bayer Leverkusen have been sensational this season, and while I know their unbeaten run came to an abrupt end this week, you mainly have to put that down to brilliance from Lookman for Atalanta. There wasn’t much between the sides when you looked at the xG figures after the game, Lookman just scored three incredible goals and it was his moment. Obviously the market is very confident on a Leverkusen win here, and with them trading as short as 1.17 we’re going to have to look around the side markets for some value. You have to say that although Kaiserslautern did exceptionally well to get here, they did have a very easy draw on paper. They played Numberg who are beside them in Bundesliga 2, Hertha Berlin who got relegated from the Bundesliga and are a mid-table Bundesliga 2 side this season, and then Saarbrucken in the Semi-Final who play in the level below the Bundesliga 2 – talk about the road to the Final! Leverkusen should win easily here in my opinion, and the 2.12 on them -2.5 goals is worth backing.

LYON V PSG
8pm We go to France next to finish Saturday night as Lyon meet PSG in the Coupe De France Final. This should be a good game, but it’s not a surprise to see PSG come in as the odds on favourites. PSG are trading 1.64 with Lyon 5.4 and the draw is 4.5 at the time of writing. It’s also not a surprise to have PSG come into this game looking for a domestic double after winning Ligue 1 – as I said in my preview of the Champions League, PSG are judged on their performances in that competition rather than any domestic success because there’s such a gulf in class between them and the rest. That being said, they still need to tick their boxes and win the trophies in front of them. It’s going to be a huge summer ahead for PSG as Mbappe leaves the club. They are without a star name for the first time in many years – since their new owners brought all the money anyway – and how they reform will shape the clubs future. You’d have to say that they haven’t had much success with their current model of buying huge stars, paying them a huge amount of money and not really building a team. They’ve had more dressing room issues than most clubs – it was obvious Messi didn’t enjoy being at the club either, and Neymar wasn’t a success either.
Lyon finished sixth in Ligue 1, 23 points behind PSG, but they will come into this Final on a high after scoring a 96th minute winner to get into Europe next season. The stadium was absolutely rocking after that! Lyon have created a decent level of chances this season, but they have leaked a lot of chances too. Their average xG conceded is 1.46 which is in the bottom six defensive figures in Ligue 1 this season. PSG have conceded a decent amount of chances this season; for example their average xG created is the best in the league as you would expect, but it hasn’t been the same for them at the back. We could easily have a very entertaining Final here, and Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.64 – the same price as the PSG win. We had the exact same score line twice when the sides met in Ligue 1 this season with 4-1 winning 4-1 both times. I couldn’t put anyone off the PSG win, however I do feel that Over 2.5 goals at the same price offers marginally more value and I’m happy with a position on goals in what should be an entertaining game.
