MATCH OVERVIEW:
We’re closing in on the end of the group stage at the T20 World Cup on Betdaq Betting Exchange now. It ends on Monday night, but many of the groups are already decided. There’s still drama left in Group B though, and we’re going to get to the bottom of that at the weekend. England got their tournament off to a terrible start with a rained off game against Scotland; a loss to Australia left them in danger given the net run rate situation, but they have stormed back by absolutely hammering Oman this week. They now have another “easy” fixture on paper against Namibia, and they can further extend their net run rate over Scotland who play Australia in the game after this.
It has been interesting to note some of the comments from Australia and Scotland this week saying they could knock England out. The ICC has come down hard, effectively saying if anything unusual happens players will face bans. Of course, any weather issues in either game will see Scotland through too. Thankfully for England, they are very lucky that these games aren’t in Florida as they are having major weather issues there. We’re not absolutely certain to have no weather here, but the forecast looks good for completing the two games at the moment. England’s net run rate jumped to 3.081 after they bowled Oman out for just 47, and that went past Scotland at 2.164. Scotland put in a very impressive performance against Oman to get themselves into that position.
This is another game for England where the gulf in class is absolutely massive. These sides wouldn’t even play each other outside of a major tournament, and even if they did England would play their second or third XI. They effectively do that when they play Ireland, Scotland and Netherlands never mind Namibia! You’d have to expect another easy England win here, it’s just a case of how many runs.
WEATHER AND PITCH WATCH:
England are back at North South in Antigua. It’s very hard to know what a good score here is – scoring has been very low but Oman posted 150/7 against Scotland which was chased in just 13.1 overs then Australia bowled Namibia out for 72 before England bowled Oman out for 47. The reality is we’re going to have a huge range here depending on who bats first – if it’s England we’re looking at over 200 and if it’s Namibia we’re looking at under 100.
RECOMMENDED BET:
England are trading 1.03 here; no surprises there after their demolition job on Oman. They were 1.05 to beat Oman, but they were backed into 1.02 when they won the toss; I’d expect the money buyers to be heavily involved in England again here and you wouldn’t be surprised to see them move in again before we start. Even from a very low starting point of 1.03! I don’t see any shocks here, but I’m hardly going to tip a 1.03 shot. England win, but this market only becomes interesting if we see a very slow start from England.

IN-RUNNING STRATEGY:
We didn’t get enough time to form an in-running strategy in the England v Oman game! It was over so quickly; I feel we have the same situation here in the sense that it’s going to be one way traffic. As I said above, the only way this market gets interesting is a very poor start from England, and maybe if we could get 1.15 on England that would be a nice position but I do expect one way traffic for England here.
