ATALANTA V COMO

7.45pm It’s the start of another cracking week from Europe on Monday as we have action from Serie A and La Liga on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE. After we kicked off the new Champions League last week, it’s time for the Europa League to start this week! We have two interesting markets before we get there though, and we start the evening in Serie A as Atalanta host Como. Atalanta were in action last week in the Champions League, holding Arsenal to a 0-0 draw here. That was a decent result from a betting point of view considering Arsenal were odds on favourites to win, and this is a game now where Atalanta can win comfortably. Como have come up from Serie B – they are a very small club – the photos from their home ground are bucket list material – however they are obviously going to find it very tough to stay in Serie A. They’ve had a slow start, and they sit in the relegation zone already. Atalanta come into the game as the favourites at 1.5 with Como 7.6 and the draw is 4.9. To be honest I was very surprised to see Atalanta trading as high as 1.5 when I clicked into the market.

I really felt I’d be clicking in to see sub 1.4. I know Atalanta have dropped a few points at the start of the season, but they came into this matchday with the highest average xG created in Serie A. The main issue for Atalanta has been at the back – they are conceding chances and plenty of goals too. That is obviously a major worry – the only worry when considering the 1.5 to be honest – however they come up against a very average side here who might not be able to take advantage. Como have an average xG created of 1.17 so far in Serie A which is in the bottom six attacking figures. They have been struggling to convert those limited chances too, averaging less than a goal a game from their four games. Without Atalanta conceding a lot of chances and goals, I feel the 1.5 would be a five star NAP material but with that little worry I’m happy to reduce stakes to four points – still a very confident bet to start Monday night!

The Ultra Says:
Four points win Atalanta to beat Como at 1.5 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL BETIS V MALLORCA

8pm We move over to La Liga to finish Monday night football as Real Betis host Mallorca. We have another odds on home favourite here, but not by much as there are plenty of willing layers for Real Betis. The home win is trading 1.96 with Mallorca 5.1 and the draw is 3.3 at the time of writing. Both sides come into this game sitting beside each other in the table – they both have eight points but Mallorca have played one game more. The decline from Real Betis in recent years has been one place a season – a very strong fifth in 2021/22 became sixth in 2022/23 which then went to seventh in 2023/24. They finished last season with an average xG created of 1.37 which was a mid-table figure and creating good quality chances has been a real issue for them. We have saw some promising signs in the early part of their season – they came into this matchday with an average xG created of 1.51 which was the joint-third best attacking figure. It’s early days in the season of course, so whether or not they can keep that level is the question. They haven’t taken those chances in their five games though!

As usual, Real Betis games have been pretty quiet. Only one of their five La Liga games have finished with Over 2.5 goals. Mallorca have also been keeping games quiet – five of their six games have finished with Under 2.5 goals collecting. They have been getting away with a lot at the back however – their conceded goals average is 0.67 but their average xG conceded is 1.57 which is a huge difference. That’s actually the third worst defensive figure and they’ll be in big trouble if sides start taking their chances. I feel the match odds market is about right here – it’s hard to make the case that Real Betis should be massively shorter, but looking at the Mallorca under-lining numbers you wouldn’t have Betis odds against here. Both sides have clearly struggled to score goals and with both of them not conceding many – even if they have been giving away chances – Under 2.5 goals looks a very nice option at 1.56.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.56 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
