LEICESTER V NOTTINGHAM FOREST

8pm The Premier League weekend kicks off with Friday Night Football this week on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! Leicester host Nottingham Forest with both very pleased so far with their season off to a decent start! For Nottingham Forest, another win on Monday Night Football put them up in eighth which is much more than a decent start considering they haven’t been far away from relegation in the not so distance past, while Leicester will be very pleased with nine points from eight games – given the gulf in class between the Premier League and the Championship at the moment, their sole aim this season was staying in the top flight.

Leicester remain one of the favourites for relegation, but they aren’t trading odds on anymore – at this stage of the season, you’d take that as a Leicester fan. It looks like Southampton and Ipswich will really struggle – both are odds on to go back down, Southampton heavily odds on. Then, if you believe the betting markets, that third spot looks between Leicester and Wolves. Of course, we also have to consider Manchester City in the relegation discussion this season too given the 115 charges – we still don’t know what’s going to happen there and if they get a huge points deduction or not.

Anyway, onto Friday night and we have a very open betting heat here. With their good start to the season, Nottingham Forest are favourites at 2.64 with Leicester 2.96 and the draw is 3.45 at the time of writing. Although Forest will be very pleased to be sitting in the top half of the table, they actually could be scoring more goals. Their average xG created is 1.4 but their actual goals scored average at the moment is only 1.0. They have been playing much better football compared to Leicester, and when you look at their stats there are some major worries. Leicester have an average xG created of 1.08 which is the second worst attacking figure this season in the Premier League.

Not only that, but Leicester have also been conceding chances for fun. Their average xG conceded is as high as 1.87 which is the second worst defensive figure in the Premier League this season – those figures make for some very poor reading, but you have to admire their ability to grind out results and never give up – the weekend being a classic example of that! We should have a good game here though, and it’s easy to see why Forest come into the game as the favourites given the amount of chances Leicester have been conceding. I wouldn’t put anyone off a bet on Forest in the match odds market, but I feel there is more value in the goals market here.

Over 2.5 goals is trading 2.06 and Both Teams To Score is 1.81. Forest have only had Over 2.5 goals land once in the Premier League this season so that is an obvious worry, but they are creating more chances than they are converting. Leicester have had a lot more goals in their games this season, and they have some good momentum here given they’ve won their last two games too. I like the Both Teams To Score option at 1.81. Leicester have been attacking this season and with home advantage I’d expect them to play an open game here, I know they haven’t created quality chances but they usually find a goal from somewhere while with the amount of chances Leicester are conceding, Forest should get plenty of chances here to find the net.

The Striker Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.81 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
