REAL MADRID V BARCELONA

8pm We have a massive Saturday from Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! It doesn’t get much bigger than this; it’s El Clasico time as Real Madrid host Barcelona in the first huge clash of the season. Both sides have had excellent starts to the season, and they are already pulling away at the top of the table even with Atletico Madrid still unbeaten behind them. I said at the start of the season that Barcelona needed a good start given all the financial issues off the pitch, and they have been almost faultless to have a three point advantage over Real Madrid coming into this game.

A loss to Osasuna came from nowhere for Barcelona, but Real Madrid have dropped silly points away from home to Mallorca and Las Palmas, along with a draw away to Atletico Madrid. Both sides won midweek in the Champions League scoring plenty of goals too – Real Madrid winning in dramatic fashion coming from 2-0 down against Dortmund to win 5-2, but Barcelona hammered Bayern Munich 4-1 which is clearly very impressive. You couldn’t really have this game set up any more perfectly.

Real Madrid come into the game as the favourites with home advantage at 2.1 with Barcelona 3.45 and the draw is trading 4.1 at the time of writing. It’s not surprising to see both of them sitting at the top of the xG table in La Liga, and they are quite a distance away too. Barcelona are creating marginally more chances with an average xG created of 1.82 compared to Real Madrid at 1.76. Very small margins, and it’s a similar story at the back. They are second and third in the defensive table – Barcelona have an average xG conceded of 1.04 with Real Madrid on 1.11.

I have to say the 2.1 feels a little short on Real Madrid here. They have had a good record in El Clasico recently, but there tends to always be drama. Over 2.5 goals has landed in the last seven meetings in all competitions – it’s nine from the last ten meetings too. The market is expecting goals here again with Over 2.5 goals trading 1.45 and Both Teams To Score one tick bigger at 1.46. While I would lean towards the Real Madrid lay in the match odds market, just purely from a betting point of view – I expect a closer game than the odds suggest. It’s hard to find a better value bet than Over 2.5 goals here at 1.45, and that’s worth a confident bet in what should be another entertaining El Clasico.

The Ultra Says:
Four points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.45 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
